What's your opinions? Does he look any more interesting compared to the first image further down? Or still too much generic soldier guy? He seems to fit the description of "veteran Alliance soldier" better now at least.

also: this guy is going to be there solely for people who never played mass effect 1 and 2. calling it.

All the humans in Mass Effect look pretty terrible really, except Miranda being modeled after an attractive actress and all.  Also, grow a damn mustache dude.

I've been ignoring ME3 coverage on purpose, mostly to avoid potential spoilers....

I can undetstand why some people don't like his dudebro look, but eh, whatever. He's just one dude and we don't know much about him yet.

Yeah he looks pretty much generic in terms of a soldier. Then again, given the description, that seems like what they are shooting for. Can only hope they justify the generic appearance by making him more unique in voice, behavior and movement. Can't get worse than Jacob, really...

He's a character we still pretty much only know by name and that he's a veteran Alliance soldier. Many are guessing that he will be a character that will learn more directly from Shepard, since he has no experience as a space exploring commando.

I don't know. Personally, I think the idea of having some generic soldier dude as a companion is pretty cool. Especially since that fuckhole Jacob never followed through with his plan to "get lad and speel some dranks" on the Citadel. To hell with him and his generic ass.

I dunno man. You know Jacob is bluffing on the drinks thing. A cut dude like him would never take to drink.

Vega on the other hand looks like he enjoys a good Cosmopolitan every once and a while.

For me, I decide how I like a character based on personality so I'll wait to see how he acts in-game.

It'd be pretty cool to have a generic soldier looking dude who subverted a lot of the expectations in his conversations. Maybe not make him a complete philosopher, but give him some nice subtlety. I think the model looks better, though. Especially seeing them next to each other.

I just realized how weird his neck looks. It's at a weird angle for the way his head is facing and seems too long because of that.

Generic soldier dude says hello.

His facial expression in both looks plain goofy to me. He looks dumb overall.

Needs more eye scar. Anywhoo yeah, he looks awfully dull and generic, but with Jacob and Kaiden before him he's at least keeping the tradition going strong... Ah well, can't judge too strongly just on his appearance. And maybe ME will surprise and actually have a human male party member who's neither a whiny nob nor a bread & butter marine dood. That silly fecal-hawk and those tattoo's really aren't strengthening his case, though.

More I see about this game, more I'm afraid its doing a DA2 on the fans, from amazing alien races and mysteries to generic marine dude.
 
I mean, freaking cast a sod like Nathan Fillion as a gunslinging cargo smuggler or shit, I mean, he's got the resume and a human making his own way through the new frontier is a bit more interesting then random buff marine dude #5.

That second outfit looks too much like Spartan combat armor from Halo.  I've played that before (and will likely play it again), so I don't need that image in Mass Effect 3. The haircut makes him look like Sev from Killzone.  That's two different sci-fi shooters that ME3 is shadowing.

Looks fine. But in Bioware games, the vanilla human male is always the most boring character, Alistair being the exception, arguably. So who cares, really.
