He is just saying Battlefield 3 will be GOTY which is probably a load of bullshit considering all of the time investment people have put into the Mass Effect series. But who knows?

He didn't say Mass Effect 3 won't be GOTY. He said Battlefield 3 will be. Why did you put such a stupid title?

They can't both be GOTY. So the title isn't as stupid as you might think.

It is. It's suggesting the article gives a mention to ME3, while it does not. The man is talking about first-person shooters, how they want to reclaim the market from Activision and what a overwhelmingly motherfucking good FPS Battlefield 3 will be.
