I hope they cave and just include all of them anyway, just using the winner for promotional stuff. I would like to play through the game with number three as she looks like the roughest toughest of the lot.

They have said the voting is suppose to be going on for another couple of weeks, but I wonder if that makes any difference.

You will be able to do minor tweaks to characters you import, and you can choose the original "Jane Shepard", but I have not heard whether it's possible to change the appearance of this new Shepard. You can't do it to the male version, so it wouldn't surprise me if the same thing applies to her. And if it is, it's more likely only minor tweaking like hair color.

Another note: There have been the first overtake since the voting started. Shepard 4 have caught up from the 1k distance to Shepard 3, and have now gone up to second place.

Somewhat irrelevant since it's unlikely either entry can hash up 13k votes to catch up with Shepard 5, but still.

I might have missed it in the last several pages, but do we know if the losers will be available as presets? I imagine they will be, but I'd like to know since my first choice is the least popular.

I don't buy into femshep being blonde haired, blue-eyed. Default maleshep looks like he could be anything. With 5 im catching a total Aryan vibe.

That..kinda of sucks, but what can i do. Now i only hope that they automatically remove the headgear during cut scenes like they do in Dragon Age.

That has already been confirmed to be in ME3, so you don't have to worry about helmets in cut scenes.

5, but personally none of them has long red hair so fail.

4 and 5. 5 is better.

Usually the problem with voting. Generic rules and even if one is super popular, it means there's at least 50% who don't agree.

Then again this is more about voting for hairstyles and eyes and so on. Which is pretty poor in itself since you can barely see the eyes. Have to search for the scanned lithos to even get close ups of them.

They will hopefully grime her up a bit so she actually looks like she's seen some action.

I like 5 and 6, 1-3 look like dudes and 4's hair-on-one-side-of-face annoys me.

4 would be a nice surprise.  
 
While I do like 5, I'm pretty sick of the blonde hair and blue eyes combo that everyone is so addicted to. Besides, we don't need another Samus Aran. 
 
EDIT: Gosh I'm not sure now. The more I look at 4 the less I like her. She just doesn't look like a war hero, even if I like the whole difference in skin colour thing. 
 
Hell, none of them don't look like they survived a war. More like they survived X Factor.

5 should have red hair imo.

I'm gay enough to know he's ugly as hell. Just a heads up on that. With hair he's distinctively unattractive, without hes above average. Have you seen CK models? I dont really look at those ads, I'm mentioning them because those guys are distastefully attractive (as I'm straight..).

I can't believe everyone here choosing 5. Just because she's blond and pretty doesn't mean she's the best choice for Shepard.

Long, loose hair in combat situations is a terrible idea, which is why its usually frowned upon in the military. Which is likely why Shepard wouldn't have it in the first place.

Miranda having loose hair in combat was a bad idea too.

You all are entitled to your opinions, but man that's terrible.

The Mass Effect Facebook group says the voting is still not yet final, but with 30k votes to 12k for the runner-ups, I think it's safe to assume what they'll announce.

Unless they decide to throw a curve ball and make all six playable, with the blonde one being the front figure.

I still am going to play as my female shepard that I've had for the previous two games. Whenever I make a new female shepard, they all look the same, same with my male shepards. I always make the same one.

Always gotta go with the blo....wait, does this mean that there wasn't a female Shepard in the last two games? What the hell?
