It's not FemShep because it's not MY FemShep.

Also, I thought the voting thing was kinda stupid since they already have a default FemShep for the past two games already.

You mean, you never understood why fans of Bioware - a developer known for it's unique decision making gameplay - were complaining about being able to make a decision?

I always preferred the default Femshep. It's why red hair won--because that IS Femshep from ME1/2. Don't like what they've done to her at all. She's got 90x more "tramp" than before, and equally amounts of lack of professionalism.

It's funny, because gamers actually picked the ugliest one. Maybe they're becoming more rational? Either way, I'm pretty much done with the series; don't know if it's me or the game, but it seems way too over-the-top now, and the gameplay isn't enough to get me playing it.

I better be able to import default Shep from Mass Effect 2. The difference from the first one was that the second has full cheeks. Not sure about the specifics concerning hair and eye options, but the cheeks were definitely more blown out.

Seconded. People have some weird issues. "Oh no FemShep can't be pretty because that undermines her character entirely," as if being pretty means people can't be commanders while they completely ignore the fact that MaleShep is based off a Dutch male model.

The minority complains and gets Femshep...and this is what they get? Hahaha! She looks like she's twelve, or the Chucky doll. Patryk is a great artist, good to see him getting more recognition. It's a good pic, no matter what I think of how she turned out.

Should've cast Amy Adams or Karen Gillan to model for female Shepard. Or even Laura Prepon if they were going for red heads from the start.

She looks great in my opinion but I liked that hair style best and that color.   No one ever voted for "canon" male Shepard, so I'm not sure why people would get bent out of shape over this.  I always change my character's look anyway, but this look for her is something I could appreciate should she show up in any marketing.  I don't think she looks too young.  She looks like a woman in her early 30's to me.  Someone in another thread said she looked like Natalie Portman.  Well, Portman is 30.

Since I usually play a fresh character with the background I'd have wanted (via one of the background save creators) to get from the previous game but failed to (because I suck), I'm liking this FemShep.

You get quite a lot of spare time while traveling to and jumping through relays.

You won't be able to choose the other variants no, but the character creator will get a lot more options to choose between in ME3. More specific examples are the hair styles we saw in the first round of votes.

I don't get the uproar there was over the whole voting thing, or just the voting thing in general. It's a DEFAULT. CHARACTER. MODEL. Then of course, I don't really care, because I'm going to keep using my  ugly-ass male Shepard I've been using for the last two games.

The haircut isn't great.. it only won originally because it was the blonde.

The whole voting thing has been very silly, they never should have left this up to a fan vote and just gone with the default female Shepard from the first two games. She was a red head anyway, but with a much more convincing haircut.

Obviously the Lazarus Project permanently injected the mascara into her skin.

In the future, you can get makeup applied that lasts for months and months without coming off or needing reapplication. It explains why your Shepard will still have blush, lipstick or eyeliner after being knocked unconscious for a few days. It's super convenient, as the idea of marketing makeup that works with all the galaxy's different skin types and atmospheric environments is extremely difficult. The makeup is really just a high tech tattoo, only fading after a few months as your skin cells begin to clear it up. You didn't think Kasumi applied that purple lip makeup every time you ran down there to see her?

And yes, even the most butch Commander Shepard might choose to use a bit of makeup to make herself look a little better. Default Male Shepard has groomed his facial hair, he must shave regularly to keep his facial hair at that steady level. I actually find this incredible telling about most people's real feelings towards women... wearing makeup and attempting to look pretty is considered a feminine trait, and thus people don't expect that a galactic hero like Lady Shepard can have any feminine traits. It's this constant problem in media where for a woman to be seen as an acceptable hero, they have to strip away everything that makes them a woman. Turns out people don't want a story about a woman saving the world, the want a story about a man saving the world except want him to have a vagina and breasts.

I´m more about brunettes I have to say... Some fans where complaining with the argument that Male Shepard never had to ¨legitimize¨ itself to the fans... because you know he is a male, but when it comes to female wee need to vote for the hottest titties out there so we can be pleased.

To be honest the argument makes sense to me and I do find the whole vote thing tasteless and mysoginyst.. Still like whatever I play with male sheppard cus all my saves are in male Shepard anyway.
