Ideas for different co-op DLC?

I know that many think multiplayer is the last thing Bioware should be focusing on, but as someone who loves the co-op mode, I'd love to see them add more.

Other than the standard "new maps", what else do you guys want to see?

New classes, new guns, maybe a new mode. Playable Geth or Batarians. New enemy types.

Objective based like battlefield where you move up the field trying to take objectives from the enemy. This would require new maps. Then you could have a mode where you have to stop the enemy from doing their objectives.

@StarvingGamer: I really hope that DLC is real, the image looked real enough. I love to see Geth Engineer, Geth Infiltrator, Batarian Soldier, Batarian Sentinel, Prothean Adept and Vanguard. That way there a new race for each class and they can move the BF3 guy so it doesn't look out of place.

@UlquioKani: I love something like a Battlefield BC2 Onslaught mode.

They need some sort of endless mode.

The problem with playable Geth classes is that they'd be hard to tell apart from enemies when fighting Geth.

A multiplayer level on Earth. The first wave starts just hours after Shepard leaves to go gather space forces.

@Kedi2: If you allow for customization it'd be fine.

I guess it wouldn't make sense canon wise, but Collector's as an enemy faction.

@SmasheControllers: Well, according to the "Final Hours of Mass Effect 3" the Multiplayer pretty much started like an Unreal-style (with vehicles) multiplayer mode... but I'm not sure that kind of stuff is even possible in the engine anymore :P

I'd like to see more random objectives, but I'm not sure exactly what would fit. Escort missions are terrible by definition (and hard to implement right, also difficulty balance) and I think that Defend objectives could be very hard to balance right, at least on gold - I think they're fun because they often force you to move. Maybe something where you have to contend against stuff like Reaper Harvesters - someone mentioned somewhere that they believed every map was built to allow such a massive enemy to attack you during the escape wave.

Not sure what I'd give Cerberus and Geth though.

Maybe more enemy factions? Blue Suns, Eclipse, Blood Pack? (or just "Mercenaries" for a mix).

More Class/race combos... sure, but I'd rather them balance the ones currently available. We're already at a point where we've got 2 (maybe a few others as well)classes/race combos that seem to be much stronger than the others.

Yeah... an Endless mode could be cool.

@Mnemoidian: I was thinking about what they could do with the Reaper Harvester, I couldn't really think of anything.

Something that come to mind on a map like Giant, have a Reaper Destroyer appear and the team has to turn on artillery cannons or something.

Customisable armour pieces would be pretty rad, though I can't see that happening.

Volus, Hanar and Elcor classes.

@SmasheControllers: Yeah, I was thinking aobut Reaper Destroyers... problem I see is that they are too powerful - if you let it start strafing the play-area with beams while you are also dealing with Banshees, Brutes and Ravagers... and there are some inherent problems with allowing players to destroy a reaper in multiplayer.

@MEATBALL: Ok, I'm back on. Hanar Soldier. With weapons being held up with biotics.

@Mnemoidian: Treat it like the Gears Hoard mode, If they did do an endless mode have the 10th round be a boss. Thrasher Maw, Destroyers, ect.

I wouldn't mind seeing an endless mode. But to one-up this idea, here's what you do: Start it off with lower units per round than usual. Then ramp it up over the course of more rounds, by adding different types of enemies. And I mean different factions too. So by round 10, you've got a round 5 number of enemies, but with things like Banshees and Phantoms running around at the same time. Then push more people, so there's Centurions and Marauders, Brutes and Atlas's, Prime's and the like. But, every payday you get after round ten is multiplied by a certain degree. And every payday from there on out is increasing by a bunch.

Honestly, it sounds wicked, but it's easy because after round ten you lessen up the generic soldiers and start replacing them with higher level enemies, until eventually you CAN possibly get to the point where it's nothing but Atlases, Primes, and Brutes. Of course, it should be spaced out to such a degree that it would take some serious time to get there.

Maybe they could roll the difficulty up too? Maybe it starts out on bronze, then after enough rounds have passed, it goes to silver and then gold? Maybe that's how you ensure you at least get a decent distance, and at least end up going further than you normally would on any of the other difficulties, while at the same time always pushing you to keep going for the money.

Collectors and mercenaries (from ME2) as new fightable enemies, few new race/class combo's and new maps.

I'd like to see this too. It makes perfect sense as you collect armor pieces throughout single player so why not? Naturally, I would like at least 3 new maps. Otherwise, I'm happy with everything else. I don't want an endless mode or stacking difficulty. That puts you in Gears Horde mode territory and that gets boring. 10 waves, on Gold, with a good team is perfect.

Objective based missions would be really cool co-op DLC; I like the multiplayer, but I do get tired of the waves of enemies with occasional decryption stuff.

A level that isn't an arena would be nice. A level constructed like in the single player.

Yeah, that's a great idea.

Does require larger maps to be able to keep moving, so more work, but yeah - great idea :)

Platinum and Diamond difficulties, obviously the gear would need to go over X to make it do-able.

Also Weapon crates.

Playable Vorcha who make a lot of their nasty noises when shot.
