This guy made an amazing ENB graphics mod. Clicky

Here's a video with some footage of the mod running, This mod works with Mass Effect 1/2/3.

I've tried it on ME3 and it looks great, I'll try it on ME1.

Seems too dark. Even when raising the brightness in game. Enemies and details seem harder to see. Really cool for dialog scenes though.

Edit: Nvm I downloaded the gameplay mod. That is the one that needs more contrast. The Cinema mod is fine. Nice mod.

It looks different but I can't say it looks better. There seems to be less colour contrast.

I'm still baffled to why they took it out. I loved the film grain in ME1 and 2 :(

Just installed it, the film grain effect isn't as pronounced as it was in ME1 or ME2 imo, but I'm not the keenest of eye.

As far as I can tell it's not there yet...it still hasn't achieved the granularity of the original effect. However, the enhancements to the lighting are a nice touch. It makes everything look more natural.

@137: I didn't like the film grain in ME1 and I turned it off halfway through. Turned it off in ME2 right when I booted up the game.

I personally feel it was thrown in due to the weak processing power of the xbox, not sure if there is an option to turn it on or off on the consoles. Things like anti aliasing and such are irrelevant when there is a light fuzz over all of the visuals.

I think that might be the point. More muted colors, but a higher contrast between lights and darks. Like an old science fiction film.

Hopefully someone is working on that. Mass Effect 1 has some of the best skyboxes and ME3's are super disappointing by comparison.

Yeah more film grain. What this game really needs is something to hide the graphics.

'sup film grain off in ME1, film grain on in ME2 buddies, I'm happy to not be alone. ME3 PC needs it real bad, more so than anti-aliasing in the opinion of my eyes.

I felt the same, in the first game it looked awful, but it did cover-up some of the uglies in the first. ME2 did it much better.

Seriously. Go load up ME1 and turn off film grain. They did a lot with a little by adding that single layer, otherwise the game just looks like generic sci-fi fare.

@Captain_Felafel: I know, awful. There's a texture mod that redoes most texture and makes the Film Grain look more like ME2's.

I've played at least 100 hours of each title, trust me I don't like film grain at all. Playing on a high end pc with everything cranked up granted the game is old but for 20 bucks and being made in 2007 I'm still pretty impressed. The last thing I'm doing in a gunfight while behind cover is saying "wow look at how the lense flare and film grain really bring out the immersion I feel while aiming with my sniper rifle and have it jump all over the place like I maxed out my michael j fox skill tree."

To anyone who wants to use this for ME3, you will have to disable the Origin overlay for the game, which means that you wont be able to play the MP with your Origin friends since you have to use the overlay to invite them to games as well as to accept invites. You can still play quick match, so you can still play MP, just not a private match with friends.

    THE MORE YOU KNOW.

    They added more lens flares?

    Cool?

The lens flares in ME3 are already annoying. Does the fucking Galaxy Map need to have it's own lens flare? Is that necessary?
