Future of Assassin's Creed anyone? The twist ending to Mass Effect 3; Shepherd gets into an animus and runs around as desmond just prior to the event of Assassin's Creed 1.
Obviously, I'm just messing here, but the way he brings it out at the end of the E3 trailer was kinds funny in that light.

I always thought Shep was Master Chief.
I mean, N7 is clearly 1 1 7 mashed together, they're both named John, so John N7/117 makes perfect sense.

@LittleBigJono: One can always assume they have incorporated some technology from the kinetic shield barriers they run around with. When they can stop the round from a sniper rifle, it's possible that could be used for a more offensive approach as well.
