What ideas do you have for new characters for Mass Effect 3? I think a Hanar squad member would be pretty cool.

But that other thread already has a bunch of posts.  Nobody's going to read my brilliant comment if it's on page 19.
 
Wrex (or Grunt) and Legion obviously.  And just for my personal preference, Jack (she was my romantic interest and MUCH more interesting than boring old Ashley).  The rest I don't really care about.

Well, I think it's a forgone conclusion that British soldier guy is going to be a squad member. Beyond that I would want to see some of the characters from the novels appear as actual characters in the game. Hendel Mitra would be a pretty good choice. As for completely random potential squad members perhaps a Volus scientist or Batarian mercenary. Those seem like the two unused races which would be the most fitting for a squadmate. Things like Hanar or Elcor would be interesting but they arn't exactly mobile enough to operate within gameplay.
