So in the trailer we saw Big Ben looking a little worse for wear, and the London Eye of all things (Personally, I find that hilarious, a ferris wheel in the space age?). The cockney-ass sniper said that "reports were coming in from other major cities" so I really hope that now Earth finally has its debut in the series, they won't keep it centred around London.

What do you reckon? Paris? Washington? New York? Rome?

Also, just thought I'd make myself clear. While it would be cool to see Earth, I want to spend as little time as possible there during the game.

    Space > Earth

    ...jus'sayin.

also yea i think space>earth, and i have a feeling that youll visit the other homeworlds as well (asari, turian, etc.) to UNITE ALL THE RACES TO REPEL THE REAPER THREAT :O:O:O:O

I really don't give a flying fuck where on earth it's going to be. Just don't have those god awful linear path CoD style hold my hand the entire way through from ME2. IMO that design decision was the major thing that kept ME2 from being a truly epic game. I don't want them to have the same type of Mini Sandbox missions but open it up a little bit more, eh.

I totally agree with this. I hope the game starts on Earth very briefly, then goes to more interesting places.

But if you're going to see Earth get invaded by aliens, isn't it mandatory to have the Statue of Liberty get destroyed and then see the statue's head fly in slo mo toward the camera?

This is true but I don't want the action parts to take to long between story things. I am really enjoying the combat now, playing though ME2 right now. Earlier in the year I couldn't get past the third person shooter part of it.

I'm hoping they save earth for last. You know, the place where you make your final stand. And the impression I got from the trailer was that Sheppard seemed to be moving away from it, rather than towards it. So my guess is that you go out to unite all the races in space (your ME1 and 2 actions determining if they'll help or not), and then come back to earth for a final showdown with the Reapers.

Space is indeed better then Earth.

As far as locations, D.C., London, and Tokyo are up there if they are going for cities and capital, which I can totally see them doing.

I'd much rather spend the majority of the game doing this. The battle for Earth can be the endgame (like the Suicide Mission). I want to go to Palaven, Thessia, Rannoch, as well as wherever the hell the salarians and batarians came from. Hell, I'd even like to go to Kahje.

I cant see it starting on Earth, I agree with what most people are saying about it being the final stand once you have united all the people you have helped over the past 2 games. It always seems to be at the top of the Alien's to-do list, but its been done to death so I wouldint mind if they let it slide.

Running the full length of Wembley Stadium and performing some kind of dive into the Normandy would make me wet myself.

I have some bad news for you. In the Kasumi DLC, you discover that the Statue of Liberty's head was blown off about a century before mass effect even starts, meaning no epic scene for us :(

Its probably for the better, its become less of an epic scene and more "that thing Aliens do with the Statue of Liberty".

I hope they pull an early game switch and bait and destroy Earth, frankly. I care more about preserving galactic civilization as a whole than I do saving humanity.

I can only assume Londons already in, from that trailer, but I'd love to see the pyramids of Giza getting flattened by the reapers, or people being plucked off the empire state building.

Screw the rest of Earth, they should just put as much of London in as possible. There's nothing I'd enjoy more than running around Cyber-Tottenham and fucking some shit up.

Some where massively built up, like massively. It depends how much BioWare focus the story on Shepard kicking Reaper ass off of Earth. So yes, somewhere like New York, Washington D.C., Beijing etc.
It would be pretty cool watching a reaper knock over a skyscraper to block Shepard's path. So that then Shepard would have to make his (or her) way through the building.

I think maybe Bioware are hoping that we get an emotional attachment  from saving Earth which will make the game more real etc etc, but coming from London I can tell you there are certain parts of this city that I will personally help the Reapers raise to the ground.

London, as the trailer suggests and New York.

Why New York? Because you NEED to have a scene with a broken Statue of Liberty in your "All hope is lost" themed game. Its like a rule.
