Why does everyone refer to the last guy as Marauder Shields. The enemy type is a Marauder and like all enemies his health bar shows whether he's protected by Armor/Shields/Barrier.

You don't see people calling Phantoms - Phantom Barriers. Atlas Armor. Banshee Shields.

I don't know why this annoys me so much, but it drives me crazy.

He was trying to save everyone from the last 20 minutes. In my mind he is a hero who should live on in our hearts and minds.

When I aim at him it says "marauder shields". When I aim at other people, it says their names. He was the final boss. He is Marauder Shields.

M. Shields was only the first onslaught. Marauder Health was the true hero of this tragic story.

Atlas Shields is his adopted brother. Always hangs out in one of those big, unnamed mech things.

No, it's more that the ending is so bad, we're latching on to the only part of it that was actually decent. We're forming our own narrative since Bioware proved themselves incapable.

The irony is that the fact that the final boss was a god damn marauder trying to save you from the ending, and that was the best part of the ending.

Regardless of whether you enjoyed the ending or not, M. Shields is funny. I know we're meant to calm down and hate on everythning relating to the ME3 debate, but Mister Shields is currently a funny joke.

This shit is pretty funny. Too bad It's taking me ages to progress in the game because of the burn-out cover based combat that constitutes 90% of the gameplay.
