Now i could completly fill my post with what I would like to see in ME2 but I want to know what you guys think should go into Mass Effect 2.
Mass Effect
Game » consists of 21 releases. Released Nov 20, 2007
Humanity is still a newcomer on the futuristic galactic stage, and it's up to the charismatic Commander Shepard to investigate the actions of a rogue agent while under threat from a dangerous synthetic race known as the Geth.
Mass Effect 2 ideas
more places in the citadel
more side quests
more planets to land on^
longer story
more balanced classes
influence system from kotor 2
no more elevators
better framerate
More interesting side quests (No more generic bunker, kill everyone and get out missions.)
Longer main quest.
More depth to party member character development.
Eliminate elevators. (would rather have small load times.)
More combat.
No more driving sequence, or better mako movement and combat.
Planets should have totally different look and feel to it, like Noveria and Feros.
New alien races.
"Have the uncharted planets less empty
Space combat
More major planets
Being able to interupts someone mid conversation
Influence System from KOTOR II
More direct control of your squadmates
Rewamped inventory system
Lock the framerate
"
"Have the uncharted planets less empty"
They're uncharted, what could be on them when so few know of them?
"More major planets" It's a huge universe, but I know what you mean. Instead of more planets, how about more areas on the planets, wider variety of cities and landscapes, and the ability to land the Mako wherever you want on these planets.
But yeah, the other stuff would be cool.
Personally I'd like more dialogue from alien squad mates. I liked Wrex and Garrus more than Kaiden and Ashley, but apart from the evil doctor side-mission Garrus gives you, it felt like there wasn't as much to talk about with them as with the humans. Wrex doesn't even mention the Rachni queen after the mission.
Larger cites, alot more side quests, well written side quests (not the same thing over and over again, different things, like oblivion), long single player, more ablities, more classes, more races, cut out most of the criving sections, or make a better car, space battles, bigger fights.
Better sound (the weapon sounds were a little weak)
Better driving control (or no driving at all)
Better character handling (felt less like Gears of War and more like GRAW, the later of which sucked)
Appropriately sized areas with more side quests and things to do (better to have smaller maps filled with more details than huge, bleak maps)
Endings based on what you do in the game, not your choices near the end
I'm sure there's more, I just don't feel like listing it all.
-More planets (main and side quest)
-More variety on said planets
-Fleshed out sidekicks: I like Garrus and Wrex and Tali talking. Lets hear some more.
-Better sidekick AI/more control
-Less glitchiness
-"Bitch please" response option in conversation
There's more, but I can't think of it right now.
I want planets that have ciities besides just main quest ones. My biggest dissapointment with Mass Effect was that all the extra planets were barren. I think it would be cool to go to a planet that had a civilization, and explore their city, and get sidequests from it and stuff.
How is it still ok in this day and age to have endings based on a single binary choice at the end? Now granted, in this the plot unfolded SORTA differently throughout, and the ability to go both Paragon and Renegade (instead of just 1 morality meter) was actually quite inspired, and I don't think gets enough credit, but a lot of the above comments nail it on the head: if you want to see both endings, save right before you make that "final" choice, and then make the different one.
"Some way to continue your character from ME1 (because of the choices you make)"This is the biggest thing for me. Seeing some real consequences from decisions carried over from the first game (the Rachni, the Council, etc.) rather than whitewashing them all onto one path would be very cool and something not often attempted. Problems like inventory management and cookie cutter sidequests are important too, but if they could simply add in a better feeling of consequence on top of some small improvements of what they already had, I admit I'd be quite happy already.
Greater detail to the planets
I'd like them to focus on fewer, more detailed side quest worlds and completely cut the collection quests or at least not have achievements that rely on completing them.
Also I'd like a Salarian party member, kinda random but I thought those guys were awesome

If your refering to those Ally achievements then you don't have to do the collection quests since half the time your on the ship when you find each of those items. Only the missions where you land on a planet or dock with a ship count towards those achievements.
Keep it at a stable framerate
Keep the texture pop in under control
A more diverse soundtrack
Make the sidequests more intriguing and fleshed out.
Use my character from my gamesave but allow me to change classes (I think this was confirmed on the Bioware podcast, but not entirely certain)
Classes should vary more, in ME it seemed like the classes were essentially the same but with one or two abilities removed/gained and other moves weakened
The core gameplay mechanics are solid, so not a whole lost needs changed, maybe just some minor tweaks. The frame rate could use some work so there aren't constant dips and less texture pop in would be nice. A better inventory system would help keep things more organized. Other than that just adding a new class or two and some new skills/abilities. And of course making sure the characters/story/dialogue is excellent, just like the first one.
