Reloading is the action of replacing the ammunition magazine inside a gun. It adds a touch of realism to most modern shooters, and a certain amount of tension when a player is forced to reload while under fire.
Respawning is when a player or NPC dies and then reappears moments later - usually in a predetermined location or group of locations - while the game continues.
A respawn time forces the player to wait for a certain amount of time before they can re-enter a game and continue playing.
Two or more factions, either with the same or completely different goals, that constantly try to one-up each other. The player is sometimes forced to pick a side to root or work for during the struggle. Other times the rivalry is only mentioned in the plot.
A Rocket Jump uses the explosive force of a rocket to launch the player high into the air, usually at the expense of some of his health.
Many games feature a story which involves saving the world and its inhabitants, often single handedly.
While screenshots were possible in many games using third-party programs, many games have official use for screenshots. Whether that be being able to take them, and have them uploaded to the internet or your hard drive, or have them serve in game purposes.
When a game usually a shooter gives you a weapon to begin your mission with. Normally they are used infrequently but can be relied on when all options and or ammo are gone i.e. pistols, grenades or knives.
