HOLY SHIT! I just found out about this through Jeff's tumblr and got super excited! But then I heard about Dave leaving and got super sad, but then I heard he has a new child, which is awesome! It's a freaking rollercoaster over here, man!

@xtrememuffinman: I have to say that the Macbook Air the IT guys gave me is a slick little piece of hardware, even if I scoff at the 120 gb hard drive in this thing. I feel like someone walked up to me and took a baseball bat to my kneecap every time I use the mac OSX, though. If I can't get some Windows on here pretty soon I'm liable to just spring for a Win7 license myself and throw it on there. If I do that I'll have to find some way to scrub the apple logo off the cover of the screen thingy. Maybe I'll throw a Screened logo sticker on there to obscure the symbol of the anti-oppressor.

I think Rorie's blog post also serves the purpose of welcoming him back. No need for other threads. Also

So happy rorie is finally back with GB/CV . As sad as I am that Dave has left, I know rorie will fill the void eventually. Also hope he takes more part in premium videos than Dave did, specifically Random PC game.

This is so awesome guys. It was almost inevitable that this would happen, but that doesn't make this any less great to hear.

It's not going anywhere. Mat is a huge PC guy and will just be taking Dave's place. When that will happen is another thing, but people often forget that Mat is a huge old school PC game guy.

I would like to say you will be missed Dave, but you have been so busy with behind the scenes stuff for so long that it's been a long time since we seen ya in anything. In fact now that you are going to be stopping by on your own unemployed free time we will probably end up getting to see more of ya then when you were working on the site. Best of luck being a Dad and finding a job when you need it.

So, is it now ok for me to start posting pictures of my puppy, and asking Rorie to rate it? It would have seemed somehow more weird before.

This is the greatest news, all the Screened staffers are back. I now demand a Rorie solo-cast about movies, occasionally featuring Alex. I would re-up my subscription for that! listening to the old episodes over again has just made me so numb. I need my fresh fix!

@rorie: A lot of our wishes have come true today. I would have sworn just days ago that this day would never happen despite how we all really wanted it to. It sucks that Dave has to go, but I'm happy he's been replaced with you. Hopefully you get to stick around this time and not get dicked around.
