How about you actually see the game in motion before you judge it.

I'm really looking forward to Max Payne 3.
I don't care about pictures. I'm waiting for the game and judge it then

I hate to break it to you, but if this game was with the same Max vying for revenge in New York City you'd be saying the exact same thing. It would be waaaay too generic at this point.

You can judge the general direction a game is taking from the concept art, let alone a screen. "

It obviously features day light, which means it ain't no Max Payne. It's not in New York, which means it ain't no Max Payne.

It isn't made by Remedy, which means I totally don't care about it at this time. Too bad Alan Wake is also looking like it's going in a different direction than I'd want it to.

Looks like freaking Uncharted.

The game's setting being in Brazil kinda keeps me away
plus Max looks too similar to Bruce Willis, so I'm really not too optimistic

However, Max Payne + RAGE seems like a nice match

If by "terrible" you mean "awesome as hell" then you are absolutely correct, sir!

I think its a perfect fit for the way the character has progressed.  In each Max Payne game he has gotten the whole turkey stuffing beaten out of him.  To come back again in a clean leather jacket and a stylised haircut would just remove that edginess from the character.  In Max Payne 2, he got shot in the head! But he still keeps going because hes simply a badmotherfucker in the truest sense of the word, and this new design represents that entirely.

I feel the same way, hopefully he grows his hair back and puts his jacket on later in the game. "

i love the new max payne, its a great development for that character

I'm gonna go ahead and say i completely agree with OP on all fronts.
