I assume he's referring to the DLC season pass costing $30, but there's still multiplayer included in the standard game.

If this were true I think it'd be more widely reported, so I'm going to go ahead and assume the copy of MP3 I get is going to come with multiplayer.

Although I think this is not true (this is likely referring to the season pass dlc), I'd pay $90 for how amazing Max Payne 3 looks like it is going to be.

All these "hate on Max Payne 3" threads keep reminding me that Max Payne 3 is out very, VERY soon and I cannot wait.

The only way this would be true is if the multiplayer DLC stuff would end up locking you out of multiplayer altogether if you didn't have the DLC.

I doubt this is going to be what happens, especially since it's not how they handled Red Dead Redemption.

I think OP is saying that Max Payne has a multiplayer mode he doesn't want to use. So its $30 being spent on a mode he doesn't want. Its still a crazy thing to say, since games don't work that way. If Max Payne 3 didn't have multiplayer, it would still be a $60 product.
