Max Payne 3's soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes. Personally I didn't know anything about HEALTH before this game, but man did that score blow me away - has to be one of the best I've heard in a game, the way its implemented into the action and the music itself, subdued tracks for downtime moments expertly blended with synth layers and percussion that build up tension during a shoot out. Even the licensed track by Emicida I thought perfectly set the tone for entering the favela.

Anyone else enjoying the soundtrack or thinking about downloading?

EDIT: also found a free bonus track from R* SoundCloud:

It did a good job of setting the tone in each location but not to the point to where I would listen to the soundtrack by itself.

I might actually pick this up because it's one of the few times I've actively enjoyed a games soundtrack independent of the game itself.

The song in that airport hall was pretty cool at the end, as a whole the soundtrack was perfect. Not sure if i'd listen to it outside of the game though.

Really amazing soundtrack, works incredibly well in the game but also just to listen to. One of my favorites so far is "The Girl", love the guitar in that song.

For me the airport song was the best one. It felt like I was near the end of a action movie.

@Forkstik: I love their distinct guitar reverb, even the brief interlude track "Pills" has grown on me despite its length.

Panama has the best overall vibe to it. I felt like a total badass when the drum kit drops right after the first encounter:

I wonder how many people will actively listen to Emicida now, because of the soundtrack.

Awesome soundtrack, but I find most soundtracks to be incredibly boring outside their given games/movies, this seems like no exception.

I've been looking for it. What with the Max Payne hype I've gone back to play the first two, and listen to that sweet, sweet theme. 1's industrial take and 2's cello are both amazing in their own right, so I was and am looking forward to seeing what MP3 sounds like... in an mp3...

I was definitely impressed by the soundtrack. The theme, of course, is damn solid, but the song that caught my attention the most was the synth instrumental from the Panama level. I'll be checking it out later to see if I just want a few tracks or will grab the whole thing.

The whole soundtrack is very good, but like most OSTs, it's sort of hard to listen to out of context. The only song I actually listen to by itself a lot is ''Tears'' (the song a the airport and at the credits.)

I also like the rap song by Emicida. I might have to check those guys out.

    This.

I'll have to go back and listen to the soundtrack by itself to see if I like anymore tunes, I couldn't really here the music in-game unfortunately.

One of the best game soundtracks I've heard in a long, long time.

That Panama track is ill as fuck.

This game made me a HEALTH fan. (I only recently realized that they did the original version of my favorite Crystal Castles song, Crimewave)

'Blasphemy' and the cruise ship theme are the two tracks that stick out to me.

I got it for free because I bought the Collector's Edition, but haven't actually downloaded it yet. Going to complete the game first.

I will probably take a while though, cause I don't really like it.
