You guys think Rockstar would let us mod or support mods for Max Payne 3?

Depends on how it's structured. Since it's using the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine it's not out the question. Although L.A. Noire had a lot of encrypted files so we'll see.

If it's using RAGE, then I'd expect to be able to do a fair deal of things.

No, sadly modding is a dying trend and because developers and publishers wants to ring as much money out of you as possible. They will continue to push out sequels instead of letting you mod games to let you create your own sequels if you wished. :P

I had an MP 1&2 run in the last 3 days (14 hours total) and after doing that in anticipation of 3, they sadly showed me the great things about old games and old Max Payne that I sincerely doubt will be in MP3, like the deep and thought-provoking noir writing, the tons of subtle hints and touches integrated in the game, and the proper PC development and coding.

I doubt it'll support shit.

Depends on how much emphasis they put on the PC version, Max was more a PC franchise than console the fact Rockstar are actually launching the PC version within a couple of weeks of the console version seems to indicate that are placing more emphais on the PC version than any other Rockstar game of this generation. So who knows, I'd expect it to be but you can never be sure with Rockstar.

God I hope so, so that some crazy fans recreate MP1+2. Especially MP1 - that would look so damn sweet.

I am sure they will find a way to create mods for the PC version. There are some badass fan recreations for Max Payne and Max Payne 2.

It's PC, if the title is treasured enough by a certain fanbase - they'll find a way.

Max Payne is more of a noir satire than anything else. I'm sure Rockstar can handle that aspect just fine.

I'm holding out hope for a Cinema Mod. I spent way too much time playing the Max Payne 2 version, and boy was that an excellently gratuitous time.

Kung Fu mod was SO good.

The thread title makes me livid. Will? Really?

And yes, I think "We'll" eventually be able to mod it.
