Overview

MechCommander 2 was the second game in the short-lived MechCommander series developed by FASA Interactive and published by Microsoft for the Windows PC Platform in 2001. Commonly heralded as a real-time tactics game, it featured player control of BattleMechs from FASA's BattleTech universe in a third-person isometric view. The title featured both a single player campaign and light multiplayer elements.

Plot Summary

MechCommander 2 put the player in the shoes of a mercenary commander able to communicate with his BattleMech pilots and give them orders. The mercenaries were hired to work for House Steiner on the planet Carver V initially, but as the story progresses the mercenary unit works with all of the major BattleTech houses.
