Create a mercenary unit, hire pilots, build up a lance of powerful BattleMechs, and take contracts from the highest bidder. You'll have to choose which side you fight for in the looming FedCom Civil War.
Point system, in this game you have a point system which determines what kind of contracts you will get later in the game. This means you can be a double agent to a extent in the later game you have to choose between Stienier or Davion. you do this by taking contracts that invole you taking out many high vaule targets such as radars mech factories. you also can be a rouge and that is where you have all contracts open but this only happens if you balance out the point system.
Ending there are 3 ending in this game which all point at the next games in the series Mech Assault. but the ending very on who wins the war or if you make your own company as it as hinted in the rouge ending. To this day there is no follow up to any of these endings or mech warrior 5. Though one compnay has gotten the Mech warrior Ip back no news has been made on Mech warrior 5 in a year since that announcement.
