Time to get back in the game. Piranha just the finished the first sprint on this game and is moving forward with development and viral marketing.

Watch twitter accounts @InnerSphereNews, @bryanekman, @russ_bullock for more updates. Piranha has been leaking out fragments of an image. Rumors are circulating that the image when completed may contain a launch date. They are doing a very good job of keeping the fans interested and leaking information very very slowly but consistently.

Interesting comments from Russ Bullock last night (Piranha President) saying his game will be different from Hawken. Not sure what to make of that.

update - they are definitely teasing at least a launch year with this picture they keep leaking fragments of. They claim to be building up to a major announcement in the coming weeks. They are keeping it pretty low key right now.

Was wondering what happened to that game.

its been a long time since we had a proper Mechwarrior game.

Hawken > every other mech game

The last trailer for Mechwarrior they released does not hold up. All the art assets needs to be redone.

@Mentalnova: From what I've seen, Hawken isn't trying to be the same type of game as MechWarrior. The website itself calls it a "Mech Combat FPS", whereas MechWarrior is a simulation. I think they can coexist without being directly compared or graded against each other.

That said, as much as I'm looking forward to a new MechWarrior, I'm not going to make any assumptions about the quality until they have something to show us.
