First released in 1989, the second entry in the series once again pit Mega Man and Dr. Light against the evil Dr. Wily and his eight new, more sinister, Robot Masters. Notable for introducing E-tanks, a password system, and the series standard of eight Robot Masters.
Mega Man 2 is a platformer and action game like its predecessor, Mega Man. The player controls Mega Man, a robot who fights for peace, as he travels to defeat the Robot Masters of Dr. Wily. Mega Man 2 is a classic action platformer from Capcom and is the second game in the long running series. It againfeatures the heroic Mega Man and his ally Dr. Light teaming up to stop the evil Dr. Wily.
Plot
Just one short year after the first clash with the evil Dr. WIly, he has returned with new fortress of evil and 8 new robot henchmen. It is up to Mega Man, with the help of the Good Dr. Light, to stop the chaos before it consumes the world.Robot Masters

- Weapon is a metal blade which can be shot at high speeds.
Wood Man
- Special ability is a leaf shield which can be used to fend off enemy attacks.
Bubble Man
- Is able to attack his enemies with a barrage of painful bubbles.
Quick Man
- Offers a quick boomerang for Mega Man to acquire.
Flash Man
- Able to stop time for a brief period
Heat Man
- Atomic Fire is his special ability/weapon.
Air Man
- Uses wind tornadoes as weapons.
Crash Man
- Crash Bomb is a small explosive that can be used to destroy barricades.
Releases
Mega Man 2 was originally released on the Nintendo Entertainment System but was later released on the Sony Playstation, The Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console as well as a version for mobile phones. It also appeared in the Mega Man Anniversary Collection for the Gamecube, PS2 and XBOX.
