Mega Man II (known in Japan as Rockman World 2, and not to be confused with Mega Man 2) is a side-scrolling action platformer developed and published by Capcom for the Game Boy on February 1991.

It is the second portable entry of the original Mega Man series and the sequel to Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge. Like the predecessor, Mega Man II recycles many elements (including bosses, levels, and enemies) from two consecutive titles in the main franchise (this case being Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 3). Mega Man's dog, Rush, makes his appearance in a similar fashion to his use in Mega Man 3.

Set in the year 20XX, the game takes place sometime after humanoid robot hero Mega Man defeated Dr. Wily and his revived Robot Masters (and also sometime after Mega Man 3). More revived Robot Masters from his past adventures have been detected in a secret underground corridor, and it's up to Mega Man (and his dog, Rush) to scrap them and find the whereabouts of Dr. Wily (who has stolen an experimental "Time Skinner" time travel device to bring back a mysterious weapon from 37 years into the future).

    Rush's Abilities

    • Rush Jet: Rush can transform into a hover board to guide Mega Man around in the air.
    • Rush Coil: A jumping pad that allows Mega Man to jump really high.
    • Rush Marine: Rush can transform into a submarine to help Mega an get through a underwater area in one of the later levels in the game.
