My perfect game has been made. Seriously?!

Someone on IdleThumbs described it as "Company of Heroes combined with Commandos, and you can control the troops individually". If this is anywhere near the truth, I'm going to need new pants.

    I'm getting the demo now.

How pant-dryingly disappointing. It's very clunky and you're basically controlling the dude with the arrow keys (still in RTS camera) and clicking on stuff you want to shoot. You might as well still be using your mouse.

The voice-acting is hilariously awful though, recommended for that alone.

From your first post, this sounds like a big let down.

The search goes on, my friend. The search goes on.

Is it too much to ask for a Company of Heroes game where you can take control of one soldier or vehicle - it only has to control as well as something like Battlefield 2 and I'll be happy!

Have you tried Soldiers: Heroes of World War 2?  It sounds similar to the type of game you're looking for.

Haha. This is the sequel to Soldiers Heroes of World War 2. It's seriously fantastic. Eurogamer put up a review earlier in the week, http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/men-of-war-review

Ah, I was not aware of that.  I wasn't planning on trying this game, but now I might!

I've been reading some user feedback on the game and it all seems really positive. Sounds like a good deal at $25.
