That's supposed to be both an actual question and a proclamation that Samuel is one really well designed boss battle. Rising has some pretty good boss battles besides (though I haven't completed it yet; in fact I'm still on the results screen after beating Sam), but Sam was just something else. It was all so incredibly frantic and required the utmost timing to properly guard against his flurry of attacks.
Plus there's his three different stages, each requiring different tactics (well, you can fall back on just using that dodge attack for a fair amount of the second and third) and then you add to it the fantastic song that's playing as well as the nice, open battleground. It's like something out of DBZ; two ridiculous super-powers clashing in the middle of nowhere.
He was also fucking tough, too! Playing on Hard mode, it took me like around 10 tries I think--and there hasn't been anything up until then that required as many retries--but I wasn't necessarily frustrated or anything. It's such a well designed and downright fun boss battle that I enjoyed learning from my mistakes and puzzling out how to properly react and when best to attack. Raiden in his mariachi outfit only amplified the awesomeness of it all and fitted the setting really well, too. Not since facing Vergil in DMC3 (all three times) have I enjoyed a classic mano-a-mano style duel.
