I am really fucking sick of everyone quoting Louis CK and missing the intent behind the bit. He wasn't saying "EVERYONE SHOULD STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT SHIT THAT BOTHERS THEM" he was saying "It's amazing how we have very few moments where we sit back and reflect on how far we've come." You know, as a species. As a civilization. It has nothing to do with videogames or airplane enabled WiFi.

i.e. people didn't like the trailer because it's not Metal Gear. It's that simple. You like it? Go play it to your heart's content. Doesn't mean the rest of us have to like it, or even "appreciate" it.

I understand everything you guys are saying, it's totally not a Metal Gear game, but I don't think it was ever portrayed as being one in the first place. That's why I got confused as to why people are so angry about it.

Also, Platinum Games. I'm not sure how you're supposed to argue with that.

Bullshit. Go back and watch the trailer which opened with Raiden sneaking up on a soldier (cyborg? robot? not sure) and then quickly taking him out. It was clear that Kojima was going to make a game that was very much Metal Gear.

I know how to argue with it: Platinum Games makes shit games.
