Col. Roy Campbell is introduced in Metal Gear 2 as the new commanding officer of FOXHOUND. He serves as Snake's primary radio contact in the game and gives information about his mission objectives and general gameplay tips.
Emma Emmerich is Otacon's younger sister. The two were seperated in their youth, but were reunited for a short period of time in Metal Gear Solid 2.

Johnny Sasaki is a recurring figure in the Metal Gear Solid series known for his weak intestinal fortitude. Initially a comic relief figure seen in Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2, he is given a more prominent role in Metal Gear Solid 4.
Liquid Snake is the leader of the rogue Foxhound unit that captures Shadow Moses in Metal Gear Solid and serves as that game's primary antagonist. Cloned from Big Boss in the Les Enfants Terribles project along with Solid Snake, Liquid's goal is to get the genetic code of his father.
A supporting character in the Metal Gear Solid series. Mei Ling invented Snake's wireless communication equipment, the Codec, as well the Soliton Radar, which detects the positions and field of vision of nearby enemy soldiers.
Olga originally helped lead the terrorist group to take over the tanker in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of the Patriots. In the second half of the game she helps Raiden as the cyborg ninja to stop the terrorist threat on the Big Shell.

Raiden is one of the main characters in the Metal Gear series. He has gone from an Army XXI grunt, to a soldier whose abilities rival the legendary Solid Snake, to a cyborg ninja with superhuman capabilities.
Revolver Ocelot, aka Shalashaska, real name Adam, appears in the the Metal Gear Solid series with often unclear motives.

Solid Snake is the main protagonist in a number of the Metal Gear games. An expert in infiltration and espionage, Snake has completed countless missions and is repeatedly tasked with disarming the latest incarnation of Metal Gear. He is voiced by David Hayter in the English versions, Akio Ohtsuka in Japanese.

Sunny Gurlurkovich is the daughter of Olga from MGS2. She is a child prodigy with technology who was rescued by Raiden and left in the care of Otacon and Snake.
Former member of terrorist groups Dead Cell and the Sons of Liberty, Vamp is Raiden's nemesis and resident creepy bad guy.
