Nope, I'm planning on buying a PS3 in the summer, along with MGS4.

#3 Posted by get2sammyb (6412 posts) -

Nope. I've already got it on the PS3 thank you.

#4 Posted by jNerd (2011 posts) -

I'd reserve it @ Blockbuster & pick it up the second it came out for $60 because it's an experience that's so unique and that I'm so excited to have I feel it's worth $60.
I also justify it with the fact that I want to support the people behind this game I'm so excited to play. Plus I'd love getting MGS4 achievements.

No, I'm gonna pick up a ps3 soon with MGS4.

#6 Posted by Daz0608 (384 posts) -

Yes because I haven't got a PS3

I bought and played it on the PS3...did not enjoy it and got rid of it. I may consider buying it on the 360 for a cheaper price ($30) if MGO actually worked. I think MGO had some potential, but it was a disaster when I played it around launch. Maybe MGO is fun now, but I wasn't going to wait and see if it would actually turn out to be good. I also want to sort of play through it again to see if maybe I'd like it after playing through it a second time...I absolutely love the series and MGS4 was so disappointing. Maybe a second playthrough would change my mind on the game.

If they made enough interesting changes (because I've already played through the game on PS3), but in reality I'd probably be renting this game from Gamefly anyways so I wouldn't care.  Maybe just FIX THE FUCKING ENDING?  I would probably buy it if they did that.

I have it for the PlayStation 3 but, yeah I would buy it again.  Need those points :D

#10 Posted by killdave (1073 posts) -

Beaten it once on the PS3 already ... but I'd pay $60 for a new MGS game on the xbox

#11 Posted by Maxszy (2064 posts) -

I would think anyone without a PS3 would be picking it up right away. Though i'd guess most wouldn't buy it again.

#12 Posted by suneku (2997 posts) -

I have it already on the PS3, but I'd pick up the 360 one anyways if it's less then 30 dollars.

Don't worry, if it ever came out on the 360 you could grab a used copy a few months later. Lol
#14 Posted by MKHavoc (1306 posts) -

I'd probably end up renting it since it doesn't seem like the type of game I'd play through again.

#15 Posted by Illmatic (1358 posts) -

Definitely. Was anticipating getting a hopefully cheaper PS3 slim but seeing as this rumor is more forgiving to my wallet I'm down.

#16 Posted by suneku (2997 posts) -

nah, only place I can get it used is gamestop. And I absolutely hate how they slap their stupid stickers, not just on the box now, but on the actual art cover.

Don't worry, the PS3 Slim wouldn't be cheaper! lol

I have a PS3 and 360 but don't currently own MGS4. If this is announced at E3, I'd totally pay full price for it on the 360. mainly for the achievements, but I also like party chatting with friends while I play games.

I'd definitely Game-Fly it.

...What are you talking about? Seriously? Just never post again, it would do everyone (and even yourself), good.

Already played it and beat it on the PS3. Unless they included extra's and some other changes, maybe I would buy it again(...not for $60 of course, broke as of right now  and the foreseeable future lol).

#22 Posted by Vecta (167 posts) -

Definitely not, as I own it on my PS3. And I would not buy it even if it had fancy extras as MGS4 was easily the worst game in the Solid series. This coming from a fan of MGS since the original.

Never played a MGS game. If it came to 360, I might just check it out because of all the hype.

#24 Posted by Dolphin_Butter (1913 posts) -

I would depending on how it's changed. As much as I would like 360-only owners to play it, I can't imagine it going to the system.

#25 Posted by ShadowKiller (894 posts) -

I'd probably buy it on release day. I've never played a Metal Gear game and I don't own a PS3 so that'd be awesome if I could get into the series.

#26 Posted by KingBroly (1645 posts) -

Already have it on PS3, so no.  As a side note, I'd be really mad if a 360 version got story-based content and the PS3 version didn't.

#27 Posted by efebayor (20 posts) -

I've already got it for the ps3 but I'd definitely buy it again, I've already got two versions of metal gear solid 2 and 3. I love the series.

#28 Posted by NateDogg (465 posts) -

I just bought a PS3 but no, I would get MGS4 for the 360 because I'm more heavily invested in achievements than trophies.

#29 Posted by ez123 (1945 posts) -

Well, I haven't played 1-3 so.... No.

#30 Posted by AgentJ (8778 posts) -

I'd buy it, but not until the price dropped. Im a budget gamer

#31 Posted by Firaxa (18 posts) -

I've already played through it at my friend's place. So no, I won't buy it.

See this is what I don't get when people ask for party chat on PS3. Why the hell would you want to play a story driven game like Metal Gear while talking to friends about the weather? It just seems nonsensical to me.
#33 Posted by Hairydutchman (1039 posts) -

I played both the demo and the MP beta and based on those experiences I can't believe the praise the game gets.

#34 Posted by Meowayne (6084 posts) -

Yes. I'd buy it on release day for whatever they charge for it.

#35 Posted by RiddleBrother (511 posts) -

I'd rather pay $60 bucks to play the game on my 360 than $460 bucks to play it on a PS3.

#36 Posted by TheDoorman (534 posts) -

No i dont think metal gear is that good of a series and id rather buy a game that im actually gonna play for more than 7 hours  for $60. Like modern warfare 2 saving my money up for that.

#37 Posted by Everyones_A_Critic (6288 posts) -

I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

#38 Posted by oraknabo (1453 posts) -

yes and yes

#39 Posted by CrossTheAtlantic (1145 posts) -

I think it'd have to bring something new to the table for me to buy it again as I already have it on ps3. It would definitely need to be something beyond the general upgrades in the reissued ports. The only thing I can really think of is when MGS3: Substinence included MG1 and MG2.

Even then, that wouldn't feel like a neccessary purchase, and I'd definitely wait until a price drop, if I ever do. However, I'm the sort of person that doesn't really get crazy into buying multiple copies of a single game or of hardware deviations, particularly in these economic times.

I need mo' money.

Never cared about Metal Gear, and I hate Kojima. And I'm not about to start caring or liking now.

I'll wait and see how it looks first. If the graphics don't take a massive hit then I will totally buy it for 360.

I've already got to act 5 on my friends ps3, but I wouldn't mind playing through it again since it is such an outstanding game.

#43 Posted by ImperiousRix (2963 posts) -

I'd buy it the fucking HOUR it came out.
I'd be so happy, since I don't have the money or desire to buy a PS3. (no offense to PS3 owners)

#44 Posted by Wolverine (4280 posts) -
@Karmum: I never played a MGS game and I have no intention in starting now.
#45 Posted by Vinchenzo (6192 posts) -

"D. No I wouldn't buy MGS4."

I chose this option.
#46 Posted by RHCPfan24 (8609 posts) -

I have it on the PS3 (still haven't beaten it yet...don't hit me!!) but I am not sure. It is definitely worth $60 but the main reason I would play through it again would be for new content and, as Jeff said, points. Gotta love them points!

#47 Posted by JacobBrodersen (316 posts) -

It all depends on how much more stuff they added, if nothing, then hell no, if alot, then sure! (Single player stuff. f... MGO!)

#48 Edited by crusader8463 (14414 posts) -

prolly be like 1-3 for me. buy/rent them and have them sit in a corner and never touch them or get maddeningly angry at the controls after an hour or so and throw them in a corner. I would buy it and try it though if it was like$20-$30.

#49 Posted by keyhunter (3207 posts) -

I'd buy that for a dollar!

#50 Posted by End_Boss (3220 posts) -

I would definitely buy it for $60 bucks. I'd love to play some more MGS.
