I have to say it was act 5. Not only was it the shortest one but i found some of the cut scenes really... lame.  At least there were some cool parts to it like the microwave tunnel thing and psycho mantis making an appearance.

I would say the point where you got into that ship. It was intense and fun but i think i would have really liked more of a stealth in that part.

But it was fun. I think the entire game was amazing.

Both acts 2 and 3 felt a bit tedious. Using the Solid Eye to track the footsteps got boring very quick, particularly when the FROGs could hear you using the IR lens and Act 3 felt forcibly extended as all it was was stalking for 3 screens and then an awkward bike chase.

On my first play through it was act 3. But after playing the game a ridiculous amount of times, I really like. All the little easter eggs, the creepy dwarf gekkos in the trench-coat following you, the bike chase, and the fact that the resistance member takes different roots every time you play it make it an interesting act. Not the best, but interesting. Act 2 however, not so much. After two playthtoughs you've pretty much seen all you can see. It gets old.

Act 3 was horrible. Chasing that guy was so boring. Hell, I assassinated him like 10 times out of frustration. Also the footsteps part of Act 2 was very boring too.

Act 3 was by far the worst act in the game. The first half = Following the stupidest man alive to get to a cut-scene. The second half = Boring/Easy vehicular shoot-fest which leads to another cut-scene. I just found that Act to be annoying and I honestly contemplated not finishing the game because of it. Also Act 1/2 were so great that it just made Act 3 look even worse.

Yeh i found Act 3 a little bit empty and dull too, it felt like Kojima wanted to lengthen the game in a way that couldn't be bypassed. Also the setting is so......un-metal gear, i dunno it just felt like going into a european film noir or something

I think Act 4 was the worst act and Metal Gear Solid is ony of my favorite game. I don't care if it was nostalgic, it was a pain in the ass to get through and Crying Wolf wasn't a very good boss.

I would have to say Act 3 as well. Despite the environment being cool visually and having a certain Noirish quality I felt the stealth poriton wasn't all that fun to play.  However unlike other have posted I found the bike chase to be fun despite its somewhat simplistic design from a control standpoint but I loved the set pieces that were in there. I also felt the boss battle at the end of Act 3 left a lot to be desired but I did like how the environment was destructible in some parts.

Going to have to go with Act 3, I love it but in comparison to the others it is probably the weakest of the bunch.

Tough.I would have to say act 5. Mostly because there was very little gameplay. Just 5 minutes to get to a Boss Fight and the microwaves (which was awesome).

got to go with act 5 mostly because of the gameplay... its like 5% gameplay 95% movies... but even being the worst of the 5 acts, i like it!
The game is awesome it'll be game of the year probably...

Act 3.

The beginning of act 3 was a little different. I would say the end of Act 2 was the most annoying.

europe map was boring as hell, and "curfew" was an excuse to not have any civilians walking around, which couldve made things a little bit more challenging. (like losing your target in a crowd of civs). also i play western games more than japanese games (actually mgs was one of my first jap games), I wasnt used to the memorize-this-pattern-do-this-obscure-thing-to-win boss fights

none, I actually liked act 3, having to follow him without getting seen.

I used to think act 3 but on my second playthrough I really enjoyed it! The attention to detail is amazing and I loved seeing those creepy things dressed like a man following you. Now though I would have to say act 2. Following footprints gets old fast.

I hated following that guy around, the only thing that saved it from being completely awful was the bike chase.

Act 3 was the worst. I thought the old school sneaking/following mission took up too much of the act. It did, however, have a good Boss Fight.

Hmmm...I'd actually say Act 2. I got a bit bored of replaying Snake Eater during that segment (I know you don't actually replay Snake Eater, but the setting gave me that impression...)

Act 3. It was still a pretty good section of the game though!

I love that game so much that I don't really hate any of the acts.  If I had to choose one though, it would probably be Act 3 just because it was so slow.

Act 3. The bike chase, boss battle and following the guy wasn't as strong as the other acts.

I loved all acts... but I'm gonna have to give it to 3, for the same reason that has been stated numerous times before.. but otherwise it was kewl.

Suprise suprise but my least favourite was Act 3.

Act 3 on Big Boss Hard = me wanting to chuck the controller at the screen.

Played the game twice through, and the guy takes the same path twice, this time he decides to take this absolutely rediculously long route.

But yeah I'm gonna have to go with Act 3, the chase sequence alone on the higher difficulties (specially if you are going for the Foxhound or Bigg Boss emblems) is just a nightmare.

Very shocking most people did not like act 3 that much. Other then the crazy amount of european traffic signs all over the place the city was well done. And the bike chase was great.

i wasnt a huge fan of act 3 when you gotta follow the guy in europe, especially when compared to the other unbelievable acts. But damn, that end cut scene was unbelievable.

ACT 3, I hated the trailing the guy part (which was 70% of the entire act). They could have made alot out of the European setting.

whatever level/act had me following a dude in europe for half a fucking hour; that sucked monkey's nuts.
