I noticed when getting the swimming controls for MGS2, Colonel Campbell's voice changes, as if it's either done during a different take or with another actor altogether. I can't remember if it was like this in the PS2 version, or if lines may have been rerecorded for the new collection. Anyone else figured it out?

@EvilNiGHTS: I heard a line had been added/changed for Fatman, definitely not from the original release, they'll more than likely be developers doing a quick patch on a line.

Yeah, it's definitely a different actor. He doesn't sound like Paul Eiding at all. They probably had to re-record some lines related to controls that are different from the PS2 version, like when he mentions the Sixaxis on the PS3 version or left/right bumpers on the Xbox 360 version.

That's what I suspected. Oddly enough I'm playing the PS3 version so in theory there'd be no reason to change any of the lines as it's effectively the same controller. Although I do wonder if they reversed the Y axis for the swim controls... I don't quite feel like going back to the PS2 version to check.

Well its the Substance version and they changed some of the dialogue in that version

Now that I think about it, the voice changing wouldn't be out of character for MGS2.

I did think that at first. Knowing how the story goes (played MGS2 over and over ten years ago) I was thinking "Is this a clue?".

Ironic, I just played this last night. I don't think I noticed because I skipped through the swimming instructions as quickly as possible. Swimming in video games is the worst.

Even my patience has its limits. I just can't leave this thing up to you any longer. I'll do the fighting! You can just go home! You'll ruin your eyes sitting so close to the television! Turn the game console off right now!.

That part still freaks me out, considering I do tend to lean in a bit much.
