MGS:PW (HD) Co-Op Community Thread

I figure there are people out there who want to do the co-op missions for Peace Walker HD online but for the fact that there are maybe 3 people online at any given time (at least over XBL) it becomes difficult to find people to play with. Everyone might be busy with Skyrimming and Batmanning or whatever the flavor de la semaine is, but there's still time to shoot giant robots together, right?

So here's the thing: I plan on making one of these here community threads to see who's currently playing it. We throw our names down and hopefully someone will fight past their shyness send a message to another person on the list. Then get together for some co-op action and free Costa Rica together! Or at least destroy some giant robots humming an eerie, high-pitched tune. That works too.

Enough chatter though, let's get the ball rolling. Throw down your XBL or PSN tag in this thread or through PM if you are interested. I will start.

I'm not sure I'll want to play with semi-randoms right now, I might go through with a friend, but this thread is lonely and shouldn't be. I just started Peace Walker tonight and it has exceeded my (admittedly low) expectations.

Yeah, this game was originally designed for the PSP, so even with better graphics and controls it's still showing its limitations in the level design department. And yet my love for this franchise is compelling me to finish this thing.

Tried looking for some coop games last night, no dice. Seems no one is playing this online at all.

@AMxKaOtIcDeV: I wouldn't say no one is playing this, but I do seem to run into the same people with random matchups a bit more often than usual.

i just picked HD Collection up tonight. i've never played PW before, but pretty excited to get into it.

Anyone still playing this? It's virtually impossible to find people for Co-Op or Versus Ops (I've only found two active hosts since launch..).

Edit: Guess I should post my GT and info just in case. GT: MVPxKandycane, US Mountain Time, and I have a headset.

@Kandycane2029: I might've stumbled across you once or twice online. There are folks playing, it's just difficult to find them at certain times outside of weekends.

I just ordered myself a copy of the HD collection and I should be getting it around the 28th. My GT on XBL is Calitar. I own a headset, but I'm not sure where it is. I'll try to find it before the game gets here. My time zone is US Mountain Time.

Been dying to get some co-op action. I'm stuck at the end of the game(I keep running out of ammo).

Edit: I beat the game a week ago. I should have notified you guys earlier. Sorry.

It seemed like the only thing I didn't use was the Battle Suit and it saved my ass in the last fight.

@ahaisthisourchance: Obvious question, but have you been using supply markers and targeting the AI pods?

If you mean the Type II or Custom models, then yeah, you'll probably need backup or a buttload of luck.
