The stand-alone prelude to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, giving players a taste of the new open-world gameplay mechanics while setting up the main game's story, as Snake (Big Boss) must infiltrate a prison camp to rescue his comrades.
Yeah, I wish there would be a digital price cut too! Not that I don't think the game is worth 30 of my dollars, it's just that now I have to choose whether I want a useless box, a disc, and (MAYBE) an instruction manual, or if I want easier access to the game (by way of no disc swaps with other games).
I hope this price cut extends to Australia as well since as of right now the pre-order price is $69.99 AUD. If not, I guess I'll have to get it online somewhere and wait at least a week or more.
Already cutting the price before the game is even released. I'm still gonna end up waiting till its around $20 to get it, so even thought they did this, it doesn't effect my purchasing decision.
It seems like this pricing experiment didn't go as planned. I like the idea of different costs for physical and digital I just think they're $10 overpriced on each. At least they learned the right thing!
