Yes, physical on PS4, but not day one, on the account that I don't currently own a PS4 and lol last gen what the fuck ever. I would hope that I'd be patient enough to wait until the Phantom Pain hype startsa rollin, but who knows, if the reviews/user impressions are good enough, I may bite my tongue and get it on PS3.

At this point I think I'm going to get it day 1 as a download on PS4. I absolutely love Metal Gear, I consider myself a Metal Gear Addict. Really, I'm not downloading it to save $10, I'm thinking I should do that so I have instant access to it, so I don't have to switch between that and inFAMOUS Second Son.

Gonna buy it, day one, PS3 digital, don't have a PS4 yet, don't plan on getting one for a mere prologue to the next "proper" MGS title.

But my real answer is probably buying it day one. I have this thing where I kinda really like MGS even though the stories always end up being relatively incomprehensible for me at some point. I think all of the games have melded into one confusing plot. This happens to include both Metal Gear Acid games... So it's really screwy

Since its coming out a long time before phantom pain comes out, I'm definitely not getting it day one. I'm hoping that there will be some bundle that comes with both near the time of phantom pains release (hopefully for a discounted price)

@geraltitude: Yeah, I think there are a few non-psn games worthwhile for the PSP. If you don't mind card games and ridiculous plot (you probably don't mind the latter if you're into MGS) then you'll probably like the MGA series.

I don't know. At its best MGS was way up there in my favorites and for years i would have never missed a new game. But then its 2014 now which makes it 10 years since i last thoroughly enjoyed an MGS game. MGS4 was a bummer as was Peace Walker.

I think i might be done with Metal Gear in general. Previews and reviews will confirm one way or the other i suppose.

360 digital on day one, I love Metal Gear aside from MGS4 (Peace Walker redeemed the series for me gameplay-wise) so I know I'm gonna play through this thing like six times within the first week. I really want to know what it feels like to play this game, how the mechanics and the controls work, and for that I'm absolutely fine paying $20 for a small chunk of the game.

I could see paying $30 for the next gen digital versions, especially PS4 which looks really sharp. I don't know why someone would pay $10 extra just to have a physical copy though.

Maybe because in the UK digital (console, I should add) games are often extremely over-priced. Hell, the cheapest we have it going for over here is the equivalent of $36 -- which is the physical version of the PS3/360 version. And this also isn't like Australia where they have a comparatively generous minimum wage to make up for it, either.

I currently have plans to get both of the Japanese special editions on top of PS4 digital so I can play it when it comes out.

I'll get it once I get a PS4 which will likely not be for at least a year. If The Phantom Pain has DLC I might just wait and hope for some sort of GOTY Edition that includes Ground Zeroes and all of the DLC for one low price. I hate it when I buy a game on sale for like $20 and then have to spend 3x that much on DLC.

My plan is to wait till i own a PS4 and play it there, but ill probably break down and buy it for PS3 on release day or a few days after.

This game will be offered with Phantom Pain when that comes out, I guarantee it. That'll be the edition I buy!
