Metal Gear Solid, released in 1998, is a game developed and published by Konami Corporation. The game follows recent retiree Solid Snake in his return to active duty as he attempts to rescue DARPA Chief Donald Anderson and President of ArmsTech Kenneth Baker, both taken hostage by a terrorist group, in order to prevent the terrorists from launching a nuclear warhead.
There definitely should be a MGSHD
Why? Do graphics get you off? MGS is perfectly fine as it is. Nothing in this game demands a graphical ... [more]
I would not say no to a new HD version.
The original is coming soon:

There should also be a Final Fantasy VII HD. Square doesn't seem to want to make money though.

I fucking love the graphics they way they are. Snake's mouth is pretty much three pixels and his eyes are just dots, it's incredible. I suppose MGS: HD would be alright, but I wouldn't buy it... in fact, I'd probably just re-buy the PSX version to spite yo ass.
Actually, if they released a version with downgraded graphics I would definitely be all over that.
Improved graphics aren't what made The Twin Snakes a "bad" game (Although I still thoroughly enjoyed it) It was creative choices with the cutscenes that messed up the experience
I don't know about you, but I still think MGS holds up very well despite how far technology has come. It's just a charm that makes it so special.
I wouldn't even want complete remake of MGS with the combat and camera integrated from MGS4. MAJOR changes would have to be made with the level design to make the game not suck and I do NOT want them fucking with my MGS...
" That would be amazing, but probably too amazing for the PSN. Lately, I've stopped expecting anything from the Playstation Network =( "really? i think alot of the games on the PSN are great, i mean just look at what we have gotten in the last month or so.... FF7 MGS, trash Panic, bomberman, we will soon get fat princess. plus all the PJ stuff and FlOw and Flower. But to each there own.
" @ADDTasty said:I guess - I'm mostly just comparing it to XBLA, because I own over 50 Live Arcade games... lol." That would be amazing, but probably too amazing for the PSN. Honestly couldn't care if it was in HD, playing on the ps3 with HDMI cables does a good enough job at making the game look good.
" Yeah, Twin Snakes. You up-res a PSOne game and guess what? It's still going to look like ass. "WAT. I guess you missed the whole texture perspective correction aspect. Let alone the thriving PSX Emulation scene.
No. Doesn't need to happen. You can't update the game without changing the controls altogether. As aforementioned, you're looking for The Twin Snakes.
i never played the twin snakes personally (had a gamecube but forgot it even came out)
the twin snakes looks quite nice for gamecube

i booted up my original MGS the other day
the game looks fuck ugly, its unreal
