Anyone know anything about the system requirements for this game? I'm trying to decide between the 360 and PC versions.

I'm still rolling with the PC I built for the original STALKER:
    Core 2 Duo E6600
    2GB of RAM
    nVidia 8800GTS 320mb

I don't have enough money for any major upgrades (and frankly, I don't really want to mess with anything right now).

Based on those specs, you would do better to get the 360 version.

I'm a little worried even my specs wont stack up well with the game and mine are basically twice or triple what yours are.

My specs are Q9550 Quad at 3.6ghz
     4gb 1066 DDR2
    nVIdia GTX 275 896mb

That's kinda what I figured. I'll still look for system requirements, but I'm more than likely going to get the 360 version. Thanks for the perspective

No problem. I will be posting a thread about how it runs on my specs when it releases if you want to get a closer look at it on PC.

I doubt you have to worry about that with your specs. Maxing out every single thing with higher AA may be asking a bit much from what I've seen of it, but I think you'll be okay. The game has a lot more extra DX11 things that since its still very new(and Nvidia doesn't even have a card out for it now) but most people won't even be using all that stuff unless they have a 5870+ card.

I was planning on running it at 1680x1050 with all settings maxed. It may just be AA that will have to be either off or 2xMSAA at the most.

I like how their "optimum" spec contains hardware not even out yet ^ ^. Optimum specs should be included with all future games; what it takes to run the game at max settings.

I'll be running it on a slightly lesser system than Sodium Cyclops' (one less gig of ram and two 9800gtx+'s instead of a single gtx275 on VIsta 32) and I expect to run it at 1920x1080 with mostly medium settings except some lighting options (likely AO and other volumetric effects) which will be on low.
