Sweet! Digging this song! And more Metro can't be a bad thing.

I really need to get the first game on a Steam sale.

Also, isn't this basically the previous trailer except the flashing between images is less severe?

Very excited for more Metro.

What a weird trailer... My eyes! Ze flashing lights!

#5 Posted by Riotisonfire (123 posts) -

Love the song. is it still Anthesteria doing the soundtrack? And I need to get this as soon as possible. These trailers are amazing. I saw a Hanza train and looks like the red and the Reich are still back .

They know how do to a trailer...

Other than the seizure-inducing trailer, this looks pretty good!

Huge bonus points for using this track.

What is the name of that song?

I am so beyond excited for this. I'm a little worried about them wanting to make it a little more 'accessible' though. Hopefully it's still comparable to the first, especially in atmosphere.

Machine Gun by Portishead

It reminded me to lookup this again:
...which sounds like it's using Over by Portishead. Too bad that game (and studio) is canned though.

@Origina1Penguin: Thanks, duder!

Metro: Last Night sounds like some sort of erotic fiction.

Yeah, I mean the first game was just pure shi... Oh wait. No, it wasn't. This won't be either.

The first game was fucking amazing, I can not wait for this. man, so many good games are coming out.

#20 Posted by GodsMistakeXx (134 posts) -

Currently playing the first one. If they fix the A.I  I'm sold.

#21 Posted by IamTerics (407 posts) -

Cool. I liked the first.

#22 Posted by MisterMouse (3543 posts) -

I am still actually really feeling the quick cuts in time with the music.

THIS TRAILER IS FUCKING AMAZING.

#24 Posted by orshick (170 posts) -

Terrible.

#25 Posted by JB16 (745 posts) -

THis trailer is waaaay better than the last one. I hated the last trailer's constant quick cuts because I never knew what was going on.

#26 Posted by Cold_Wolven (2214 posts) -

Really liked the first on PC so a must buy for me. Hope we see more of returning characters like Khan.

Seizurific!
That's what my brother would say.

#28 Posted by MrKlorox (11209 posts) -

Cool. I enjoyed Metro 2033 a lot for a corridor shooter. I hope the next one after this (probably next generation) is somehow open world like Stalker.

#29 Posted by The_Nubster (2054 posts) -

If these glances are anything to go by, the graphics look a bit cleaner and the gunplay still has that 'Metro' feel. Hopefully the guns pack a bit more punch and the stealth is improved. Otherwise, can't wait.

@godsmistakexx: Pretty sure they will seeing as they are taking criticism serious. They have said that they would offer more variety of playstyles like improved stealth, and more open enviroments while still maintaining claustrophobic corridors.

How much epilepsy can YOU take?

#32 Posted by Agent47 (1894 posts) -
@Origina1Penguin: Well yeah the other one was just still concept art this one shows actual game play.
#33 Posted by Box3ru13 (702 posts) -

Great trailer, finished the first one only a couple months ago and already am looking forward to this one.

#34 Posted by Origina1Penguin (3500 posts) -
@Agent47: Watch it again. It shows the gameplay as subliminal flashes. This trailer is the other way around. In a way, the other was more effective in giving off a horror vibe.
#35 Posted by MeatSim (10781 posts) -

All that cutting and flashing almost gave me a seizure.

#36 Posted by spilledmilkfactory (1845 posts) -

The first one frustrated me with its inconsistencies, but I'm still welcoming this sequel with open arms. If they can fix some of the issues present in the original, Last Light will be an incredible experience

#37 Posted by Cabbage_TheMan (240 posts) -

I wanted to play the first Metro so bad.  Now I can enjoy it on the Triple :)

#38 Posted by imachicken (27 posts) -

I want to watch this but I'm still playing through the first one. Ack.

#39 Posted by ArcLyte (881 posts) -

playing the first one right now and i gotta say, i'm now super stoked for the sequel. can't believe i ignored 2033 for so long.

#40 Posted by Metiphis (388 posts) -

don't move a muscle, it's an anomaly.

I know right! I hope they dont get sued for not having a worning but I'm pretty sure that exceeded the 3 flashes a second rule.

Shitty song, but i'm interested in the game, Metro 2033 was pretty damn sweet, despite its flaws.

#43 Posted by RIDEBIRD (1231 posts) -

Totally hyped.

#44 Posted by Oldirtybearon (4609 posts) -

Metro 2033 was a very flawed game. I loved it, don't get me wrong, but there were definitely parts of it and its obtuse mechanics that made me want to tear my hair out. Hopefully these issues are rectified in Last Light, or else I'll just shave my head the day I buy it.

HANZA WOOOHOOO

#46 Posted by VTheSystemV (76 posts) -

I never finished the first one.  I stopped playing it for some reason, and just never felt compelled to pick it up and play it again.  Might take a look at this.

Looking good.

I haven't played the first one, but that was an awesome trailer.
