Set between the events of Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion, Other M follows Samus Aran on a rescue mission to a derelict ship in deep space where she encounters her former commanding officer and a whole host of old and new trouble.
I saw this on Joystiq yesterday. In the 3rd section of the game, after clearing a boss, if you back track in order to save instead of immediately going through the door that went from red to green, there is a chance that when you come back, the door will have stayed red and since it is the death of the boss that triggers it's opening you get stuck there and can't continue the game. I don't even know that a Wii game can be patched. Some have though it might be something that only happens with the newer system update but nothing is certain at this point.
be careful when plying that section and try to keep multiple game saves and maybe a backup on an SD card. Remeber if you have to start again Metroid Other M , you cannot skip those glorious cut-scenes !
This is a serious issue and Nintendo need to make people aware that they know of the problem and what they're going to do to fix it. I'd be amazingly bummed out if I ran into a glitch like this in a game.
