Nintendo have unveiled the Collector's Edition tin box for the Metroid Prime Trilogy on Wii.

There are no pics of the artbook which will come with this edition of the game.

That's really a very lovely box set.

Must - resist - temptation.

That's pretty sexy. Are they a limited run? I don't have a Wii but I know I'll probably get one at the end of its life for cheaps like I did with the GC.

No, and I should point out this is the NA box art. The paper casing on PAL copies may be slightly different.

I still own my copy of the original game for the Gamecube. I wanna go back to it, but I'll wait for this, instead.

@Linkyshinks: Ahhh no way! Paper for PAL territories? That's a mighty shame, looks really nice too.

The disc art is great. A few logos could have been placed elsewhere, but the centre hole on the disc is the barrel os Samus' gun. Kind of James Bond style. One of the nicer and more well thought out disc designs that I have seen in a while.

I love the look and design. It is actually pushing me to buy it because I am sucker for slick game boxes on my shelf. I am weird, I know.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Trilogy is a tin-boxed Collector's Edition by default, right? I haven't seen any info or boxart for a regular edition -- every time a new article comes it's about the Collector's Edition, so I'm assuming there isn't a "regular" edition.

Yeah, this is correct. I'm pretty sure this is the only version available. Makes me think that they won't make many copies of it.

Came in the mail the other day, and it's just as sexy as it looks folks. The artbook is nothing special (at first glance it looks like a sticker sheet) but the package by itself is very hugable.

Does it double up as a biscuit tin? I love custard creams.

Hmm, guess I'll be picking up a copy this morning before it runs out. Never finished any of the Prime games, should be a good time!
