Career
Modeling
Milla was spotted by a photographer named Richard Avedon when she was just eleven years old and was featured in Revlon's “Most Unforgettable Women in the World” advertisements. She signed her first professional modeling contract in October of 1987.
She has appeared in hundreds of magazines and been on covers dozens of times.
Acting
In 1988, Milla appeared in her first film role,
Two Moon Junction. She had her first leading role in 1991's
Return to the Blue Lagoon and was nominated for "Best Young Actress Starring in a Motion Picture" in the Young Artist Awards of that same year. Her breakout role was playing as Leeloo in 1997's
The Fifth Element. She went on to star in other movies, including the
Resident Evil movie trilogy and
Ultraviolet.

Palermo Shooting,
Azazel (formerly known as
The Winter Queen), A Perfect Getaway, and
The 4th Kind.
Music
Milla released her critically acclaimed folk album,
The Divine Comedy in 1994. She wrote the lyrics at age 15 and recorded the album at age 16. Milla headed a band called
Plastic Has Memory that played shows in Los Angeles and New York City in 1999. The band never released a record, but did have one song, "On The Hill," contributed to
Hollywood Goes Wild, a benefit CD for The Wildlife Waystation.
In October 2003, at Fashion Rocks in London, England Milla performed the song
"Left and Right" (mp3). She has had songs on several albums, including "Rocket Collecting" on the
Underworld soundtrack.
Milla has written
demos that are available for free, fans are encouraged to enjoy them and remix them but are not permitted to sell them.
Fasion Design
Fellow model Carmen Hawk and Milla launced a line of clothing Jovovich-Hawk in 2003. The line of clothing can be found at over fifty stores around the word.
