MIND≒0 (here's the teaser site), new Vita game announced by Acquire, has a few similarities to the modern Persona series. This Japanese blog, for example, is saying it's a Persona 3 ripoff. Because of this, I feel compelled to make a list of similarities between Mind 0 and Persona 3.

Hard to tell exactly given we're relying on summarized translations, but given that it's being called a "Dungeon RPG", that typically means Wizardry style gameplay like Zerodiv's Class of Heroes games (first person perspective) rather than the more "traditional" third person view of the newer Persona games.

Sounds like the difference is 3.

Well here's a VN called 11eyes. It is basically Persona 3 with porn. Persona 3 rip offs are not uncommon in Japan.

There is a character named Misuzu, who looks exactly like Mitsuru. They also fights things that could be considered shadows. 11eyes also has a hidden 13th hour.

@fluxwavez: to be fair every japanese game has "2D adventure game-like conversation scenes.*" now. also i wouldnt defend personas originality with things like "Character portraits (in battle and in dialogue)" or "set in modern day japan" , and one could say the entire concept of personas is akin to Stands in jojo's bizzare adventure.

regardless of the orginality of either game this does seem like a blatant ripoff/cashin however.

@fluxwavez: like i said i agree with its similarity , but now that you point those things out its suprising how generic they are , to me the thing that makes persona unique is already fairly diluted from smt , i loved that post/pre apocalyptic feel that they toned down in favor of more "personal" themes ..and i dont think any spinoff / ripoff has come close to recreating that .. fuck it i have some more grinding/sidequests to do in strange journey .. back to hell i go
