Can you make water go up?

I've been channeling water through a mountain and i was wondering if there's any possible way to make the water flow straight or up instead of constantly having to go lower to allow it to flow?

...you understand physics and gravity, correct?

 pressurized tubing..........that or a big straw.

right so there's no machine that can push the water along

Not if you want a consistent flow.  It either needs to go down, or it's not flowing.  Capillary action can take it upward, but that's pretty impractical for any significant quantity.

You mean like emptying a fish tank with a tube, right?

Water always seek the lowest point, unless tampered upon.

Wait, you do know about buckets right?(make a V shape with steel in the bottom 2 rows) you can pick up water with it and make an infinite water source wherever you place it.

Could you somehow redstone up a minecart to take water uphill in some kind of crazy loop?

@king0fprussia: That's not possible, afaik.

@SwiftFire: At some point we will have water pressure, and that should give you what you're looking for. Until then, water goes down and around, not up.

To those taking about physics and gravity: tell it to the floating blocks.
