    Im using minecraft on my macbook and its not registering my left click on the track pad, i was wondering if this was a know problem with a known solution, or am i just boned?

    I've played it once with a Macbook Pro and it worked fine for me. Maybe restart your computer?

    Ok so whats actually happening is that when i left click the guys arm is moving but when i try to destroy a block it gets like part of the way and then just resets! this is rather annoying!

    Something seems weird with your trackpad settings, because Minecraft works like a charm on my MacBook. I play it daily.. uhm... at work...

    Try using an external mouse. I use one when I play minecraft and it works fine. Try updating your java version with software update as well.

    Are you clicking and holding, or just clicking? You have to hold down the button to break blocks in Minecraft. If you already knew that though, feel free to disregard this message.

    Someone who already owns a Mac would undoubtedly find buying a PC more expensive than sticking to what xe already has. But if PCs these days come with instructions on how to play Minecraft properly, you're right. That would be better.

    I have it installed too. Fine for games, but I wouldn't use it for movie editing, photo editing or general lifestyle stuff, which is most of what I do with OS X.

     Getting a mac is like getting a Honda Civic and "pimping" it out with nice rims and spoilers and stickers. No engine upgrades, just looks. Yay, you have a nice looking car, better than a stock Honda Civic, the PC. But wreck that car and you are going to hate that you spent all the extra money. 
     
    The only benefit I see is the bundled software (GarageBand, yada yada) compared to having to search the internet and find what you like on the PC market.

    Seriously though, I have never found anything on a computer more frustrating than the way Apple designs it's UI, tricks you into downloading shitty programs (safari being snuck in on an Itunes update, anyone?) and there ability to never do what I want it to. Maybe this is because my computer literacy has been born and raised on a PC but it sure isn't the entire problem.
