    If I purchase Minecraft on PC do I get to download it onto mac OSX and windows or just one? Secondly can MC be played between the two?

    You can download the client as many times as you want, you're just buying an account to log into that client. So you can run Minecraft on all of your computers.

    And yes, I play Minecraft on my mac.

    Pretty sure it as nothing to do with the license for the OS. You download the .exe which is just a launcher, after that you log in to your profile and it downloads the necessary files to play. I've played with Mac players on servers before, so I guess thats a yes.
