    Hey guys whats new in the beta? i havent been played for a couple of weeks so whats new? 
    I know theres leaf decay but is that it?

    You can throw eggs.

    And according to random youtube comments, if thrown on grass they have a 1/8 chance of spawning a chicken.

    Other than that, it's mostly behind-the-scenes stuff. Fixing bugs and whatnot. Notch said he was thinking of trying to add a new mob soon.

    Minepedia has all versions documented. There have been five beta updates so far, and you can read what changed in each of those updates.

    This totally happened to me today.
     
    I was running around my mountain fortress when I saw a chicken and an egg, so like any rational person I picked up the egg and hurled it at the chicken. Then I had two chickens, it freaked me out a little.
