    Overview

MirrorMoon EP is a game centered on exploration and discovery, designed to give the player as little guidance as possible. The game is very minimal in both visuals and structure.

    Gameplay

The player is tasked with navigating space by means of a curious spacecraft and exploring various planets in order to solve a certain unnamed anomaly by creating a temporal bridge. The title references in part the gameplay element of flipping a "floppy disk" inside the spacecraft in order to access the A or B side - not unlike flipping a record over to access new music on the same "disk," so does flipping the floppy give access to another side of the same planet. Initially players are thrown into two tutorial planets on the A side, where the bare fundamentals of the gameplay and premise are demonstrated. Once the groundwork has been laid, the meat of the gameplay comes on Side B. Since the universe is large and clues are sparse, the game's structure can be most aptly described as a scavenger hunt. The player will need to travel from world to world, solving variations of the same basic puzzle structures, until happening on a planet that contains clues as to the next destination.

    Online Features

MirrorMoon EP features an asynchronous multiplayer features. The universe that players explore is split into seasons, each concluding after the anomaly has been solved. When the game is played online, players participate in searching for the anomaly by exploring with other players simultaneously. At the end of each planet's "puzzle", the player who solved it will be rewarded with the ability to name the planet for all other players to see.
