    Overview

    The Mission Accomplished banner is usually used in games for parody purposes, making fun of the George W. Bush, USS Abraham Lincoln speech claiming that the war in Iraq was over when it clearly wasn't.

    An example of such parody can be found in Ms. Splosion Man where the scientists celebrate for capturing Splosion Man, unrolling a banner claiming "Mission Accomplished". Little did they know that the mission was far from accomplished, seeing that Ms. Splosion Man was on the loose.
