The first Galant was released in 1969 as the Mitsubishi
Colt Galant or in America as the Dodge Colt or the Chrysler Galant,
The engine, The Mitsubishi
4G32 (Saturn), coming in a 1.3L, 1.5L or a 1.6L Straight 4
The 8th Generation Galant came out in 1996, It was released in either a sedan version (Galant) Or an Estate version (Legnum) within those ranges Mitsubishi
released three main classes of vehicles,
The GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) 2L 4 cylinder,
The ST-R 2L V6
And the top of the range VR-4 2.5L Twin Turbo V6
The VR-4 comes in either a 5 speed Manual Gearbox or a 5 Speed Semi-Auto Featuring the INVECS-II an advanced self-Learning Automatic gearbox capable of mimicking the drivers gear changes.
It also has Mitsubishi's AYC (Active Yaw Control) an advanced rear Diff which had sensors that could detect and suppress Oversteer
