After I played the campaign in Regular I went for multiplayer . After I've spent 10 days playing multiplayer I decided to go back to the campaing mode and play Hardened to test my skills .
 It was a smooth ride until I reached Takedown mission in Favela . The enemy AI pop up from everywhere and there are dozens of them . I was almost finished before I felt dizzy and sick. I threw the controller away and slept 0_o

Hardened is easy...

go slow... that favela mission is the only part in the game i found challenging on veteran so i feel your pain

I agree with the people saying it's the hardest part. Just take your time and remember where you're dying from so you can smoke those bastards next time.

That's a really hard mission dude. At first that is, if it's your second playthrough, you should understand the game by now. 
 
 
I found my veteran playthrough to be easier than hardened because I knew everything. Maybe you're just bad at the single player?

Its not hard. no where near on the level of past COD games let alone MW1 which was omega cheat cheap when it came to enemy AI.

You just need to find a corner to shoot from. Now if someone can tell me what to do at the end of that data extracting level on Veteran, I would be eternally grateful.

Just bite the bullet and play it on Veteran. You will have to play one or two levels about a hundred times, but you'll get through it and pick up all the campaign trophies/achievements.

I played it on veteran and it wasn't even the hardest mission.

Go through it really slow. It took me about 30 minutes on veteran

Hardest part of the game on veteran imo. Go slow, run out into the open and you'll be dead before you fire a shot.

It's funny, the game never explains why you're being attacked by hordes of angry militia men, except for that you have to apprehend some arms dealer. I was a little confused when I got flung into a shantytown full of dudes with akimbo shotguns.

It is so hart because there are no save spots, they start shooting from the buildings over you and windows next to you. Its really annoying. One tip, stay at the side of the levels.

I beat the game on Veteran, and so I don't really know how difficult hardened is.

MW2 is MUCH easier than previous call of duty games because they did away with infinite enemy spawns! This isn't immediately obvious to most because they assumed that they were infinite like in previous games.
 
Just bunker down and shoot them as they come. Then move forward when you're ready.

It boils down to memorizing when and where the guys pop out. It will take time but you'll get it eventually.

Turn off the sound on your TV, remember where the fuckers appear and take your time...Roach shouting at you never helps the situation.

By the time I did this on Veteran, I knew that:
 
1. No matter what Soap says, you aren't in any hurry.
2. The enemies don't respawn.
3. The game has more verticality to CoD 4, so look up more often.
4. Move slowly.
5. Dart in an out of buildings to draw fire.

I found this mission on anything but medium to be not fun. Staying in cover then popping out to shoot one guy, then go back in cover is not what I am looking for out of Call of Duty.

This whole game is a lot easier than Modern Warfare. There's no respawning infinite enemies for one. That and there's no Ferris Wheel or No Fighting in the Waroom, which raped me. I remember just inchig through Favela, like every other level in this game. Shouldn't be too hard, just play it slow and play on Veteran, like a man.

I beat the campaign in one setting after I got through the said mission . It was easy and I could have missed a great campaign had I quit earlier .

I beat the game on Veteran, and I will tell you that Takedown is NOT the hardest mission. On Veteran, the hardest is definitely Contingency. The odds of you beating that mission on Veteran are dependent entirely on the game's checkpoint system. Also, luck.

Go sloooooooooooow, there are at least 2 new guys that spawn for every step you take.
