Activision has done it again. The Resurgence Pack coming to Modern Warfare 2 will contain two old maps. It also contains 3 new maps and the pricing is the same as the Stimulus Pack. Does this bother you guys or are you cool with it?
Here's the full article on it if you're interested.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Game » consists of 22 releases. Released Nov 10, 2009
The sequel to 2007’s wildly successful first-person-shooter Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 continues the story of American and British soldiers fighting Russian ultra-nationalist forces.
Resurgence Pack Adds 2 CoD 4 Maps
*sigh* Would have been nice if they gave Crash and Overgrown the Chinatown treatment and completely redone the map to have a different theme. I mean I'm okay that they're back, but I wouldn't have mind if they took Crash and gave it the Skidrow theme and Overgrown was redone a-la Afghan.
" So the new MW2 map pack include 3 new, 2 old maps for $15. This means people will spend $30 for 6 new maps, and 4 old ones from COD4. I can't believe people find this acceptable. -_-' "People who play this game a fuck lot finds it acceptable. I know they'll bitch about it, but they'll suck it up when their friends get the map pack. Nobody wants to be left out because of some maps, so they figured they ought to just suck it up and pay for the map.
Peer pressure.
Despite MW2 being my most played game I just can't justify spending 1200 points on maps, I'm happy to wait for them to be the weekly deal on XBL. Easiest way to voice your distaste with the pricing is by voting with your wallet and not buying them.
I find it hilarious how awkward it gets on the major nelson podcast when they discuss the price of these new maps.

Hmm... I'll probably get it i don't hate on MW2.
Never really liked Vacant. Strike is pretty good though!
If they released Overgrown, Strike, Backlot, Crash, Vacant, Bloc, Pipeline, and Shipment all in one $15.00 map pack, I would play this game until I die. But with this? All I can say is I didn't buy the first one and I won't buy the second one. Period.
Off to Red Dead Redemption!
If I still played MW2, I would probably be into this, as Strike and Vacant were pretty good maps. Just add Broadcast and Pipeline and we are good. But I don't. And thus, I won't be spending $15.
Yes it sucks that we have to pay BUT!
Someone has to make these maps and that costs time and money and since none of us can make these maps we are forced to pay a premium!
Think of it this way, what if your job called you to work a couple hours for free, you'd be like "fuck off". Thats the equivalent of us wanting them to give us these maps for free. I don't like it but i understand it, it is a business model that works.
That's just lazy. They shouldn't be charging people extra for the map packs because it has two maps from the old game. $15 for three new maps is still too much, but I'll buy it regardless.

But i'm cool with it since i'm not buying.
I traded in MW2 for ME2 when Gamestop was having their 50% trade in bonus. It is the only game I have traded in in the last year so don't start with me on used games killing gaming.

or you're just a really good troll, so if that's the case good on you.

The revenue generated from these packs will only end up in some asshole executive's wallet. I'd love to play the maps, they look good and I'm sure someone worked hard to bring those COD4 maps into the new game, but not for $15.
