The sequel to 2007’s wildly successful first-person-shooter Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 continues the story of American and British soldiers fighting Russian ultra-nationalist forces.
i played some of them at a friend's house and they're not bad. new maps are always a good thing, but i would never purchase them because i don't play MW2 enough to want the need for new maps. i enjoyed playing on Crash again.
well it kinda depends on how much you are still playing mw2, I am still playing it allot so I got both the map packs because new maps to play = nice. but if you are making a choice go for the second map pack ( resurgence ) I find it better than the stimules one.@ShaunassNZ said:
I stopped playing MW2 when the first map pack came out. I'm playing BFBC2. It's not as good but it does offer something different and I'd played all the standard MW2 maps to death.
Here's what I think about MW2 map packs: Bad Company 2. I stopped playing MW2 the day BC2 launched, and you know what? I have yet to be shot in the back of the goddamn head by somebody who spawned behind me 4 seconds ago, 2 seconds after I just secured the place. Just playing Squad Deathmatch on the same 5 maps over and over again is better than MW2.
I'm interested in what people think about the new maps as well. I haven't played MW2 since BFBC2 came out, but I am looking to get back into MW2. The price of the maps is a HUGE deterrent though.
Theyre ok. Just bought them really to get Crash back, I havent bought the new set yet. However, you know that :P Do as people say Foster and change that avatar of yours, unless you need to be told how to :D
"Over priced crap. Maps they left out of the retail release so they could sell them to you later. And people just eat this shit up. "
You really think they had 10 extra maps at release just lying around, and then they wait 7 months to put them out? It isn't as if the game shipped with a lack of content either, as it had more maps than most FPS games upon release.
But back on topic, you are almost doubling the amount of multiplayer maps for $30. If you don't play the game enough to want new maps, don't get them. If you play it enough that you want more variety, get em. It's that simple. The quality of the new maps is about the same as the stuff on the disc too, so you know what to expect.
