Epic Warfare 2 0

WARNING! Contains Spoilers and/or Bad Language.  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, rebranded as just "Modern Warfare 2" is the sequel to the critically accliamed first-person shooter, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.  When Call of Duty 4 was released, it redefined first-person shooters with new systems of mofications - such as Perks.  Breaking out of it's "Call of Duty" franchise, developer Infinity Ward promises that this game will be a masterpiece, much like it's predecessor.  Does this ...

A thrilling Single-player with a so-so Multiplayer. 0

Call Of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2 really does feel like a missed opportunity. It's a sequel to one of the best shooters of all time and was meant to be a larger impact than Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare but with some really bad gameplay designs it really just ends up feeling like Infinity Ward really dropped the ball.   Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 does get somethings right though, and those things are all the singleplayer portions. It has a great campaign that lets you see from many different...

Infinity Ward went Down! 0

Call of Duty 4 was a big success with millions of people who bought it and played it for 2 years forgetting about World At War. Then Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 came along and from millions of Cod 4 players it went to thousands. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was really just bought for the online and not the story. If you are like me an average games who plays 30minutes-1 hour everyday then you probably tried the Campaign first to see how good it is.The campaign was short but fun. Next we went ...

Almost Perfect! 0

I bought an Xbox 360 in 2007 because of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and it didn’t disappoint. According to my online stats, I’ve spent roughly 17 days, as in over 400 hours, playing COD4 over the last 2 years. So up front, I’m going to admit that I’m a huge fan of the series, and a huge fan of the work that the guys at Infinity Ward put out. Modern Warfare 2 is divided into 3 playable components; the single player campaign, online multiplayer and the all new Spec Ops mode. Each component is a...

Contemporary Armed Struggle #2 0

i really like this game when you play as an american soldier being invaded in washington by a ton of russians who teleport over the sea its really an immersive experiance. its hard to describe how cool is it to be able to serve next to us troops they even have names its almost like really realistic and when you play as those russian guys who shoot up a airport but no one can tell they are russian for some reason its kinda confusing but then they shoot you in the head and russia is pissed cuz it ...

Insane. Ridiculous. Awesome. 0

Modern Warfare 2 is perhaps the biggest gaming launch in history. With people still playing its predecessor religiously 2 years after launch . The question for most people is the multiplayer but as a fan of the single player from COD4 will the sequel deliver in all aspects.  Modern Warfare 2 has yet another short campaign as it took me about 5-6 hours to complete but I think if it continued any longer I would have been exhausted. The campaign picks up about 5 years after the events of the first ...

Cough. 0

Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, COD6 or MW2, however you put it, most people (nearly 8 million,) will know what the hell you are babbling your little ruddy mouth on about. It's the most anticipated game of 2009, everyone knows about it. So shut up and listen to my opinions. If you played Call of Duty 4 before, you will know what is going on in this. The Middle East and Russia went all doo-lally and America and the British tried to help but failed/succeeded. Basically, to sum it...

The joys of MW2. 0

I had an Xbox 360 for now 2 days, and what a way to start it. I only have 3 games at the moment, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Burnout and Resident evil 5, all of which are amazing compare to my previous consoles. I started playing MW2 straight away and havnt stopped playing. It is a highly adictive shoot 'em up game, which action and violence. I sugest this game to any 360 owner.   :)...

Modern Warfare 2? more like 2xModern Warfare 0

Modern Warfare 2 is the successor to the famous Modern Warfare game and it makes enough fixes to make it a better game than the first to make Modern Warfare 2 a must buy. The story plays out like the previous game following certain people either from the US rangers or a special task group called Task Force 141.  I won't get too much into the story but the games is like a top notch action hollywood movie and it is done with amazing Infinity ward style.  It took the few amazing scens in the first...

Modern Warfare 2 - 360 AND PC 0

Modern Warfare 2 to the industry represents the biggest single release of the year. While I don’t exactly agree that it deserves the honor, the core shooting mechanic is one of the best in the FPS genre regardless of platform. Modern Warfare 2 has all the right set pieces from a sheer ice wall to the American capital; yet playing through the campaign on hardened, I was able to complete the game in little over 6 hours. The second half of the campaign hosts two of the most memorable single player...

Modern Warfare 2 Review 0

Modern Warfare 2 has all the bells and whistles of its predessor but includes a much more over the top story that seems like a mini game compared to the multiplayer portion. The Call of Duty series has had its ups and downs so it was only right for Infinity Ward to finally branch away from the shadow of the series. With a much more action packed story with multiple twist and turns to a in-depth multiplayer to back it up Modern Warfare 2 has spit shined the FPS genre up, carefully bal...

Another solid Mike Whiskey from India Whiskey 0

It's been one week since I bought Modern Warfare 2, and it has me hooked.     Task Force 141- Basically the British SAS from COD 4 If you've played Call of Duty 4, you probably know what this game is going to be like. Between militant Russians, terror cells, and rappelling down walls, it feels like Modern Warfare, but on a grander scale. When you go to play single player, your greeted with a montage of COD 4 footage, to make sure your up to date with the story so far: in the past installment, y...

Great Game Except for hackers 0

the feel of modern warfare 2 is great. if u love high blu-ray style graphics u would like it on the PC version. the spec-ops feature is good but some of them are TOO HARD. Multiplayer is fun but sometimes people hack and get all the prestige stuff and/or game winning killstreaks all the time....

Pros and Cons: Modern Warfare 2 0

ProsExplosive campaign with tons of thrills.Deep multiplayer with tons, tons of replay value.Awesome sound effects from your gunfire puncturing your enemies to a Predator missile crashing near you.Challenging yet fantastic Spec Ops missions. I very rarely play co-operative because I like to take my time and explore a map rather than just book through the level like my friends, but this made me want to have them come over to play these many set pieces. Cons While explosive and fun, the single pla...

I just don't see it 0

So this is a less-positive review than most of the other reviews of the game around here. I've had the game since November but obviously haven't been on here that long lol. Anyways here we go.  Story: One of the lesser things in my opinion about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the story. 3 years ago Call of Duty 4 gave us realistic but fictional(aside from the setting) and is on part with a realistic war movie(a good one.) But Modern Warfare 2 swtiches to a much less believable(though some thi...

Game Review: Modern Warfare 2 0

Let us not be shy about it, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was one of the biggest games to ever be released. The game garnered mass critical and commercial success on its way to becoming one of the most played online titles of this current gaming generation. So it goes without saying that the sequel to that game would garner a feverish hype train that it would have to contend with. Now the game is here and it has a whole lot to live up to. Modern Warfare 2 picks up five years after the events ...

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 0

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2   Following the massive success of Call Of Duty   4: Modern Warfare it was tough to imagine   how Infinity Ward would make this best Call Of Duty yet. There was an exciting buzz in the air leading up to release date and with the game selling 4.7 million copies within the first 24 hours of release, gamers soon found   the newest sibling in the Call of   Duty series has something special about it.   Those who played Call of Duty 4 would have found the game takes...

Secret Short Review 001- Modern Warfare 2 0

CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2  + Fantastic Single Player Experience  + Great Gameplay  + Tight engine  - Micheal Bay style writing and directing  - The "Hi-then-bye" style of Multiplayer  I admit, when it came to Modern Warfare 2, I was one of the biggest skeptics around. I couldn't stand Activision, and I couldn't stand all of the mindnumbing hype the game kept receiving. While the hype still stands as something that's full of bullshit, the game did hold up to claims of it being one of th...

Good fun, but has an identity crisis 0

I only played this game with the single player in mind. Yes, I know I am probably one in a thousand people who doesn't care about the online play. At any rate I enjoyed the campaign but like I mentioned the game takes itself and settings very seriously at points and then will flip and be an action packed popcorn kind of shooter. Regardless each level in a self-contained perspective is great and well executed....

More of the same and little else than that 0

Lets face it, if you even having a passing interest in videogames and have an xbox 360 you've heard of Modern Warfare 2. It's the definition of a game that needs no introduction really, coming from two predecessors that met unbelievable success and a hype train that even over shadows that of Halo 3 and GTA IV. I may even be just preaching to the choir considering the staggering week one sales. Still I always love putting in my two cents.Modern Warfare 2 takes place shortly after CoD4. The Russi...

Modern Warfare 2 Exceeded Expectations!! 0

Modern Warfare 2 ReviewFirst off, it's hard to top a game like Call of Duty 4.  Infinity Ward not only matched it but took it to new levels of cinematics and game play.  There are three core elements of Modern Warfare 2.  These include Campaign, Multi-player, and Special Operatives (Spec-ops for short). The single player of cod  was indeed one of the best FPS campaigns I've ever played.  It ranks among the gods like Half-Life and Far Cry.  The few major complaints that gamers had for cod 4 was t...

One of the best modern first person shooter games to date. 0

Modern Warfare 2:Game play: I haven't played modern warfare 1 but I really liked the campaign and the action of the missions are awesome the visual effects sound effects are all good and have impressed me throughout the hole campaign. All of the missions are fun and there is not even one mission that I haven't liked. I am eventually going to beat the game again on veteran maybe since I was really interested in modern warfare 2. I have never thought that I would be interested in this style of gam...

Infiinty Ward uses the old formula to produce a great game 0

Well it finally arrived. While many had hyped this game for months, I came into the experience with very little expectations. Not because I didn't enjoy the first one, but because I hadn't really been in the gaming scene for months. So enough about my personal life, and lets dive into the story.    Offline Gameplay  Modern Warfare 2 is set 5 years after the events of the first game. As you start the campaign, you are treated to a nice cut scene that patches up some of the history between the ...

If you are looking for a single player game rent it if you are going to play online buy it. I have only been playing single player games recently so I only rented it. I beat the single player and decided to play some multiplayer and had a great time. I have not had that much fun since Rainbow Six on the original Xbox.  I would recommend picking this game up….you can get it cheap you just have to look around I got it at Amazon for 39.99.     ...

Rediscovering a Great Franchise 0

I have to admit, when I put Modern Warfare 2 in for the first time, I rather expected to be underwhelmed. I play a lot of shooters, but I don't consider them to be my favorite kind of game, and yeah, I was probably being a little conceited and therefore resistant to play such a mainstream title so popular with "the bros". Then I saw a dude crash through a second story window to tackle another dude running across a balcony, and both of them fell 20 feet onto a car, caving in the roof. Then I told...

Great continuation of the Franchise 0

I loved the single player campaign. But preferred the first games single player  I enjoy the online more so than MW1, the killstreaks, levelling up and maps are much more enjoyable.  so far 1-1.. oh yeah, spec ops is awesome! so you can safely say that this game improves on its predecessor....

While it Doesn't do anything really new, it is still a good game. 0

The good: Still very good Multiplayer - Graphics are Top notch - Sharp sound effects followed by great voice acting - Same great Call of duty gameplay you know and love - New Spec ops mode gives the game even more replay value - Customizable Kill-streaks. The bad: Campaign is One of the shortest ever - Nothing in the game feels new - No vehicles in Multiplayer. Now when i say short I mean it. the game took me maybe Three and a half hours to beat. And on veteran Difficulty maybe twice t...

Bigger, better and sometimes too over the top. 0

Modern Warfare 2 delivers on all fronts so it comes to a personal question: do you like this kind of game? Single player campaign is a very strong roller coaster ride, co-op missions are fun and online multiplayer keeps you busy for another two years. EXHAUSTING CAMPAIGN Campaign starts five years afte the first Modern Warfare. In short a group of terrorists manage to launch a war between Russia and US. Story is told through multiple perspectives so you get to experience many sides of the...

Explosive, in all cases. 0

My main gripe with this game is the campaign, the story in particular. The story just doesn't make sense, and the character I play always gets shot in the face at some point. The events seem thrown together, and basically jump from one cool moment to the next. That would be fine, but it all kind of blends together which dilutes the experience. Overall it is a lot of fun, with great visuals. The sound is good, but could be better. Special ops is a great compliment to the short singleplayer. Tea...

Mordern Warfare 2 review 0

Modern Warfare 2 is an FPS that was suposed to blow everyone away. Well it doesn't live up to its hype. I heard that its single player had a great story and amazing action packed levels. That is a lie. A story is not even there and by the time I got to the snow mobiles, which was suposed to be awsome lasted about 5 minites and had lost all interest in the story. The Co-op is very hard the way I played, and if you scwed up once you die of a smuckers allergies and this gets real old real quick. Th...

A quality title, but with some deficiencies 0

it doesn't get more bad-ass than this. As prolific as the Call of Duty games have been, the Modern Warfare adjunct has been nothing but quality work. The sequel to the overwhelmingly successful first game is certainly no slouch either. But as impressive as it is, at times Modern Warfare 2 underwhelms with familiar story-telling elements and a near nonsensical plot. Of course, if multiplayer is your deal than this won’t affect you much.If you’ve played Modern Warfare at all, as millions c...

Campaign and story short review 0

MW2 lacks the consistency, gravitas and impact of COD4’s campaign.  It’s the blockbuster sequel to a modern classic: full on flash, low on substance.  The plot is interesting and has some neat twists, but the campaign is too short (around 5 hours on normal, 5-10 on veteran) to do it justice: too much of the story is left to player extrapolation, important information is said in passing and there are lapses in logic and plot holes aplenty.   Fortunately, the game propels you forward on pure adren...

Fun That You will be coming back for again and again. 0

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is game that I have a blast playing. There are 3 Game mode in Cod2 and all of them offer a great amount of Value for your money.  The Single Player Campaign was a fun Action pack Fps that you usually looking for , but more with the good voice acting and variety of stage to play on which is just the blast. The story does get confusing mid way through the game , but the Intense Fps kept me going for about 10  hours or so on Veteran(more if you collect intel like me).  T...

Over the top, in a good way 0

Modern Warfare 2 takes all the strong elements of the original Modern Warfare and cranks it up to eleven. The quality gameplay is still there, but the story just goes over the top – in a good way. Any semblance to reality goes out the door in favour of jaw dropping sequences. This coupled with a really strong multiplayer element, including a co-op feature, makes it pretty clear why this game is so damn popular.    ...

Improved campaing that makes multiplayer suffer 0

Before I continue with this review I must tell you that I give no game a 10/10 and my favorite games I rate a solid 8/10. Game that are ground breaking or just really unique get a 9/10 and above average (See my Killzone 2 review) get a 6/10, average is just that 5/10. I use the real review scale not some made up 7/10 is pure crap scale. Now on to the reviewIn a generation dominated by First Person Shooters, Modern Warfare was the “king” of them. I played that game and thought it was rath...

This is How a War Game Should Be 0

Infinity Ward developed this addition to the Call of Duty series.  Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare successfully brought the series out of the WWII genre and was everything Call of Duty fans could have hoped for. The big question was, how could Infinity Ward top themselves? Not only does they top themselves but Modern Warfare 2 is easily one of the best war games ever made. The gameplay mechanics see some slight changes but overall everything looks very much the same.   First we have the single pl...

A Little To Far 0

Call of Duty 4 is one of my favorite shooter campaigns ever. The multi player was also really fun but didn't really keep me interested for to long.  Modern Warfare 2 picks up after the end of CoD4. The campaign follows a similar style and many people found it to go to far this time around and be to unrealistic. But I really enjoyed it. However i found the last chapter rather ridicules, going rogue and hunting down a man just didn't seem call of duty to me, and they really left to much open for a...

Modern Warfare 2=Awesome! 0

Modern Warfare 2's epic campaign will never leave you bored. Its action packed! I think anyone who enjoyed CoD4 will find this game easy to love. Its multiplayer is also fun, however, everything seems way more fast paced. If anyone sees you at all in a map than you're dead. Some people think that the killstreaks make the multiplayer gameplay unbalanced, however, they equip you with many different counter-killstreaks or counter-killstreak weapons, such as launchers that will take them down with e...

I'm guilty, I liked it. 0

While playing the singleplayer mode of this game, I didn't understand what was all the fuss about, an average shooter with nice graphics, wide variety of weapons, and good storyline, but other than that, I felt like Modern Warfare's Singleplayer experience was just too plain simple. I shot that guy ,threw a grenade there, hid behind cover to heal myself, and basically that's it. The singleplayer for Modern Warfare 2 was not as fun as I imagined, and yet people got so excited about this game, whi...

Exciting at first, Terrible in the End 0

I was very, very excited for this game when it was released, I even stood in a line, waited for three hours, got it, went home, played it for a month... then sold it. If you ask me it was interesting to begin with, a fun...ish multiplayer, but the single player was a failure, just an over the top action movie with the 'realistic' tag slapped on. My complaint isnt the realism issue, i could care less about how realistic a game is, I play Halo. But heres the thing: a good game is balanced.  Modern...

Best one ever. 0

Call of Duty is one of, if not the biggest shooters of all time (Though I prefer Halo more). Modern Warfare 2 was the first Call of Duty that I played, yes even before the first Modern Warfare. I was actually so engrossed in the story I couldn't stop playing. I will admit that the game isn't the best game ever, but for the Call of Duty series it is the greatest. I would love to see this story turned into a movie sometime soon....
