Is this Map Pack worth it? 0

Like my other review I have to start off with debating the price of the map pack. It turns out to be a little more of an annoyance this time because I forgave them last time stating that Overgrown and Crash were two of my favorite maps from Call of Duty 4. Now a few months later and the same thing happens, they throw together three new maps and two older Call of Duty 4 maps, only this time they threw in Vacant and Strike. I just can't help but feel like they should have marketed it differently, ...

It's not going to bring you back but will satisfy current player 0

I want to start this review by saying, ‘if you are one of those people who enjoyed Modern Warefare 2’s multiplayer for the first few weeks of its release but, then proceeded to move on to something new, due to frustration with core game mechanics or select individuals who choose to glitch their way to victory. The ‘Resurgence Map Pack’ will not bring you back, most people would look at the rather large price tag of 1200 MS points, and expect there to be some significant expansion on the ...

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Most sequals tend to not live up to there predissors. Modern Warfare 2 is the acception because its a better game then Call of Duty 4 in almost every single way possible.Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 takes place 5 years after the events of COD4. A new russian terrorist Macorov was a person that  Imran Zakhaev (The person you last killed in COD4) had as a back up plan.      (The only potential spoilers within have been shown in various trailers and so therefore should not be class as spoilers - however if you think that you may have you enjoyment of the game ruined, I reccomend you skip past the second and third paragraphs. However you will miss some of the best writing in the entire thing) I feel sorry for developers who make hit games. The War Hits Home in Modern Warfare 2 0

Modern Warfare 2 is here, and it improves upon the great formula Infinity Ward had with Call of Duty 4, and kicks things up even higher this time. From the great campaign, to the new Spec Ops mode, and the multiplayer that will be enjoyed for years, Modern Warfare 2 is ready to take over Halo as the king of online shooting on a console. This time, were going deeper and hitting harder!          Soap is now in control and gives you orders in the battlefield. Let's start off with the campaign. D...

Two of the three words mentioned are one of the most said phrases in what is considered the most anticipated game of 2009 and probably in video gaming history so far; beating Halo 3 and Grand Theft Auto IV. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the forth child by veterans of the modern first person shooter genre known as Infinity Ward. Originally following in the footsteps of Medal of Honor and the intensity of World War II, the new world decades away from the great war is specialize...

    Almost Perfect! 0

I bought an Xbox 360 in 2007 because of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and it didn’t disappoint. According to my online stats, I’ve spent roughly 17 days, as in over 400 hours, playing COD4 over the last 2 years. So up front, I’m going to admit that I’m a huge fan of the series, and a huge fan of the work that the guys at Infinity Ward put out. Modern Warfare 2 is divided into 3 playable components; the single player campaign, online multiplayer and the all new Spec Ops mode. Each component is a...

    Insane. Ridiculous. Awesome. 0

Modern Warfare 2 is perhaps the biggest gaming launch in history. With people still playing its predecessor religiously 2 years after launch . The question for most people is the multiplayer but as a fan of the single player from COD4 will the sequel deliver in all aspects.  Modern Warfare 2 has yet another short campaign as it took me about 5-6 hours to complete but I think if it continued any longer I would have been exhausted. The campaign picks up about 5 years after the events of the first ...

Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, COD6 or MW2, however you put it, most people (nearly 8 million,) will know what the hell you are babbling your little ruddy mouth on about. It's the most anticipated game of 2009, everyone knows about it. So shut up and listen to my opinions. If you played Call of Duty 4 before, you will know what is going on in this. The Middle East and Russia went all doo-lally and America and the British tried to help but failed/succeeded. Basically, to sum it...

I had an Xbox 360 for now 2 days, and what a way to start it. I only have 3 games at the moment, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Burnout and Resident evil 5, all of which are amazing compare to my previous consoles. It's been one week since I bought Modern Warfare 2, and it has me hooked.     Task Force 141- Basically the British SAS from COD 4 If you've played Call of Duty 4, you probably know what this game is going to be like. Between militant Russians, terror cells, and rappelling down walls, it feels like Modern Warfare, but on a grander scale. When you go to play single player, your greeted with a montage of COD 4 footage, to make sure your up to date with the story so far: in the past installment, y...

Modern Warfare 2 Exceeded Expectations!! 0

Modern Warfare 2 ReviewFirst off, it's hard to top a game like Call of Duty 4.  Infinity Ward not only matched it but took it to new levels of cinematics and game play.  There are three core elements of Modern Warfare 2.  These include Campaign, Multi-player, and Special Operatives (Spec-ops for short). The single player of cod  was indeed one of the best FPS campaigns I've ever played.  It ranks among the gods like Half-Life and Far Cry.  The few major complaints that gamers had for cod 4 was t...

    Modern Warfare 2=Awesome! 0

Modern Warfare 2's epic campaign will never leave you bored. Its action packed! I think anyone who enjoyed CoD4 will find this game easy to love. Its multiplayer is also fun, however, everything seems way more fast paced. If anyone sees you at all in a map than you're dead. Some people think that the killstreaks make the multiplayer gameplay unbalanced, however, they equip you with many different counter-killstreaks or counter-killstreak weapons, such as launchers that will take them down with e...

    Modern Warfare 2 Review 0

Modern Warfare 2 has all the bells and whistles of its predessor but includes a much more over the top story that seems like a mini game compared to the multiplayer portion. The Call of Duty series has had its ups and downs so it was only right for Infinity Ward to finally branch away from the shadow of the series. With a much more action packed story with multiple twist and turns to a in-depth multiplayer to back it up Modern Warfare 2 has spit shined the FPS genre up, carefully bal...

Game Review: Modern Warfare 2 0

Let us not be shy about it, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was one of the biggest games to ever be released. The game garnered mass critical and commercial success on its way to becoming one of the most played online titles of this current gaming generation. So it goes without saying that the sequel to that game would garner a feverish hype train that it would have to contend with. Now the game is here and it has a whole lot to live up to.      Lets face it, if you even having a passing interest in videogames and have an xbox 360 you've heard of Modern Warfare 2. It's the definition of a game that needs no introduction really, coming from two predecessors that met unbelievable success and a hype train that even over shadows that of Halo 3 and GTA IV. I may even be just preaching to the choir considering the staggering week one sales. Still I always love putting in my two cents.Modern Warfare 2 takes place shortly after CoD4. The Russi...

Well it finally arrived. While many had hyped this game for months, I came into the experience with very little expectations. Not because I didn't enjoy the first one, but because I hadn't really been in the gaming scene for months. So enough about my personal life, and lets dive into the story.    Offline Gameplay  Modern Warfare 2 is set 5 years after the events of the first game. As you start the campaign, you are treated to a nice cut scene that patches up some of the history between the ...

    Explosive, in all cases. 0

My main gripe with this game is the campaign, the story in particular. The story just doesn't make sense, and the character I play always gets shot in the face at some point. The events seem thrown together, and basically jump from one cool moment to the next. That would be fine, but it all kind of blends together which dilutes the experience. Overall it is a lot of fun, with great visuals. The sound is good, but could be better. Special ops is a great compliment to the short singleplayer. Tea...

A lot of anticipation has lead up to this release and only on rare occasion like this does the hype end up to be justified.Picked up the game at midnight with my buddies and, without a doubt, during the first hour of playing did I have to say aloud that the game was justifiably PERFECT.Not only did Infinity Ward introduce some new jaw-dropping features like the earnable online airstrikes, but from the graphics to the engine mechanics, the game has proven to be second-to-none in providing fast-pa...

With its predecessor being arguably one of the best shooters in recent times, it was always safe to assume that : Modern Warfare 2 would generate a huge amount of pre-release hype. Rediscovering a Great Franchise 0

I have to admit, when I put Modern Warfare 2 in for the first time, I rather expected to be underwhelmed. I play a lot of shooters, but I don't consider them to be my favorite kind of game, and yeah, I was probably being a little conceited and therefore resistant to play such a mainstream title so popular with "the bros". Then I saw a dude crash through a second story window to tackle another dude running across a balcony, and both of them fell 20 feet onto a car, caving in the roof. Then I told...

I loved the single player campaign. But preferred the first games single player  I enjoy the online more so than MW1, the killstreaks, levelling up and maps are much more enjoyable.  so far 1-1.. oh yeah, spec ops is awesome! so you can safely say that this game improves on its predecessor....

Bigger, better and sometimes too over the top. 0

Modern Warfare 2 delivers on all fronts so it comes to a personal question: do you like this kind of game? Single player campaign is a very strong roller coaster ride, co-op missions are fun and online multiplayer keeps you busy for another two years. EXHAUSTING CAMPAIGN Campaign starts five years afte the first Modern Warfare. In short a group of terrorists manage to launch a war between Russia and US. Story is told through multiple perspectives so you get to experience many sides of the...

Possible the biggest release of 2009, the much awaited sequel to one of 2007's biggest seller, Modern Warfare 2 has already sold over 5 million copies in just the US and the UK. But is the game really worthy of all this fanfare? Let's first start with the story. STORY: The story starts off 5 years after the first Modern Warfare, with the Ultra Nationalist having gained power in Russia even with the effort of the United States Marines and the British SAS. The story is full of holes though qui...

    Mind-Blowing. 0

Yes I think we all absolutely loved Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, well most of us anyway, and making a game better than that would be a downright amazing achievement. Crazily enough Infinity Ward has somehow managed to do this and more.  Sure Modern Warfare 2 seems a little over blown and incredibly gamey in points. And sure there are the inevitable glitches in the Multiplayer mode, but even with these, this game is the funnest experience I have had with an controller in my hands. The Multipla...

While i liked Call of Duty 4, this one has to be one of the best military shooters with very competitive online multiplayer that makes me mad every time i lose! It's still a great game with a great story behind it. Modern Warfare 2 really did impress me because at first i thought it was another Call of Duty with more guns, but it had all that plus new graphics and a great story.      The good: Still very good Multiplayer - Graphics are Top notch - Sharp sound effects followed by great voice acting - Same great Call of duty gameplay you know and love - New Spec ops mode gives the game even more replay value - Customizable Kill-streaks. The bad: Campaign is One of the shortest ever - Nothing in the game feels new - No vehicles in Multiplayer. Now when i say short I mean it. the game took me maybe Three and a half hours to beat. Big Bucks does not equal good game 0

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the sequel to the immensely popular first person shooter Call Of Duty 4 and after seeing both the critical and commercial success of its predecessor it is clear that the publishers have invested a lot of money into the sequel. While trying to extend the story of CoD 4 and build upon the multiplayer it seems that Activision and IW have had dollar signs in their eyes and have ended up making a shallow and unsatisfying blockbuster of a story and an imbalanc...

This is How a War Game Should Be 0

Infinity Ward developed this addition to the Call of Duty series.  Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare successfully brought the series out of the WWII genre and was everything Call of Duty fans could have hoped for. The big question was, how could Infinity Ward top themselves? Not only does they top themselves but Modern Warfare 2 is easily one of the best war games ever made. The gameplay mechanics see some slight changes but overall everything looks very much the same.   First we have the single pl...

A quality title, but with some deficiencies 0

it doesn't get more bad-ass than this. As prolific as the Call of Duty games have been, the Modern Warfare adjunct has been nothing but quality work. The sequel to the overwhelmingly successful first game is certainly no slouch either. But as impressive as it is, at times Modern Warfare 2 underwhelms with familiar story-telling elements and a near nonsensical plot. Of course, if multiplayer is your deal than this won’t affect you much.If you’ve played Modern Warfare at all, as millions c...

CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2  + Fantastic Single Player Experience  + Great Gameplay  + Tight engine  - Micheal Bay style writing and directing  - The "Hi-then-bye" style of Multiplayer  I admit, when it came to Modern Warfare 2, I was one of the biggest skeptics around.      The expression "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" should have been the tagline to Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2. Let's be honest here. 2007's Call of Duty 4 was literally as far as any developer could possibly go to relight the dim candle of innovation in the first person shooter market. While it did the obvious thing by improving the cinematic quality of the gameplay and in-effect enhance the immersion of the campaign the multiplayer made the biggest change of all. Infinity Ward's in...
